Could someone confirm me if there are other updates than
"tethering, full motorola sync, panorama fix, superuser"?
A one file merge in a kind of v2.0.5 would help it.
thanks

EDIT: for full MS2Ginger 2.0 red lens, I could be missing something btw

Hahaha...Just, the thing is that in my store is 2.1 default, but I hope that I can flash some 2.2 and say I updated it via Motorola official. Which one 2.2 is official for Europe (Serbia). Hope CEE is good?

Ty...
Did you ever flashed a full 2.2 sbf. If not you can flash your original 2.1 rom. But i think motorola will repair it. My camera led was broken and they repaired it. (Froyo rom was installed but there was no official froyo at this time)

thats auto brightness feature, its a new thing with the full bright buttons. the rom checks light levels via light sensor and switches on or off the bottons depending on how dark it is.

not sure if the old dim buttons did the same i cant remember, you could hardly notice the old dim buttons anyway

I also had the problem of light on the button "search" only when upgrading from Lite to Full. I went back and installed everything from 2.2.1 Retail and FBS had no more trouble, I had the same problem in CM7. Before sending it to Motorola, try this procedure.

Walter, I've done the last correction "USB Wifi Tethering" and I can not send MMS at all, any solution? Defy Red MS2Ginger FULL (all patches applied).

Hi, i need report a problem in Spanish language.

When you go to Settings > Applications > Double tap home launch and you pick "Comando por voz" (voice command), we have a FC with "com.android.sttings"

Ok, just this.

Congratulations for this great ROM

Check you APN Typ. Maybe you have to add or delete "mms"

Romuleta, obrigado.

Romuleta, thank you.

That's exactly what I did, however, when I finish and try to save the "new" APN clicking save, is a blank screen, upon written APN and not get out of it, then when I come back to see if it worked, still on the screen white. I've tried deleting all, modifying the existing and soon after applying the patch Walter79. None worked for me.

But you don't have to save and create anything because it's automatic. The APNs and their settings come from /system/etc/apns-conf.xml, so you have to edit this file instead.

OK... about dying LED's - I've got news for you guys... The flashing/dying LED's are not caused neither by Walter's ROM, nor from AdjBrightness! Not quite sure if it is SU that causes this misery, or 2nd init, but it is one of them FOR SURE! I've been struggling with flashing LED's for quite some time, so I decided to go back to stock, root the Defy again, install CWM via 2nd init and then flash fresh MS2Ginger.

So...here it goes - flashed full SBF JRDNEM_U3_3.4.2_179-002_DEBLUR_SIGN_SIGNED_UCAJRDNEMARAB1B80AA03A.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNFRYORTCEE_P016_A016_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf

which was my stock ROM from new. All LED's started behave normally - they were really dim (I had forgotton how dim they have been and must say I didn't like it and wouldn't "fix" my bright LED's even if there was a fix). They turned on and off exactly as they were supposed to and when they were supposed to. YAAAAAY!

But then I rooted the phone and installed 2nd init from the market, rebooted and... Here comes the pain again! LED's started flashing as before! I didn't even have the chance to flash MS2Ginger.

So, guys...don't blame the dying/flashing LED's on Walter's ROM or chinese ROM's, or whatever other ROM! It's SU or 2nd init that causes the issue.

@Auris 1.6 vvt-i

This is really interesting result. We should start new topic about this problem. Maybe something is wrong with new versions of 2nd Init or SU, so we can discuss it there.

Tnx once again.

Sry Walter for blaming your ROM that it killed my LED :D
