nah im not using any of those apps, and its been doing it since i installed 2.1.
Weird... Last night when I first installed the ROM, buttons were blinking a fe times and then stabilized with weak light. This morning they won't even come on. I even tried installing the keyboard backlight controller and turn them on, but with no luck. Then I reboot and entered in Boot menu... Surprise, surpriiiiise... Bright LED's on! When phone boots up - no backlights again.

Nice work as always walter ,
here some new idea's for next update .... i hope you can find it helpful
-if you made the calls and alarm triggers the sleep mode off that would be great(phone rings and alarm even with sleep mode)..
-the alarm icon on status bar looks ugly and unclear :D
-clear notification button if you can place it on the middle bottom or made it even wider too
-adding swipe keyboard
-colored led setting for phone notification's
-add Moneybookers method for donation
-more fonts set
Plus:
-new green bread mod (to eliminate the bug with live wallpaper)
-neu 3D fix for green lens (to eliminate the bug with no boot animation)

Haven't you flashed GreenBread 1.1 yet?

Flashing green lens fixed the issue. That confirms that my phone is having green lens. Does that mean no more 720p recording? I will keep on testing this ROM.

If I want to different then do I need to go back to Froyo or I can just flash the new ROM zip using recovery?

Thanks everyone!!!

Green lense has never been able to shoot in 720p.

As for the ROM change, if you are flashing any other of Walter's ROM's you don't need to go back to stock. Just wipe data/cache and flash the new ROM. Once you have flashed the fixed sbf, you don't need to go back to Froyo, root and so on... Just flush the other ROM that shares the same fixed SBF.

Thanks Auris. How to check the fixed sbf for a ROM? If want to flash CM7 or MIUI, then do I need to go back to Froyo, root...?

I try yesterday MS2ginger 19-11-2011... 3 problems:
- virtuals buttons (param, home, back and serch) always on
- auto-adjust screen's brightness doesn't work
- and again and always (like motoginger-remix), FC with contacts facebooks

Damn it...So if buttons LED are not fixed I'm not gonna flash this ROM :(
I was so happy that 2.1 was out yesterday but now after 1st comments I doubt I would try it until fix.

Other stuff works ok?
Wifi? Wifi tethering? USB tethering? Editing contacs? Social app? Camera and 720p (red lense)?

Ty.

- Could you discribe the fc problem a little bit better?

You can check brightness (lux) with gps status app.

Damn buttons... They are crazy! Just tried to put my phone under a blanket and... guess what! Buttons turned on! When I take it out in the daylight, no buttons backlight. So buttons are working, but only turning on in the dark, which is actually cool as you don't need their light in a daylight anyway and this preserves battery! ;)

LOL, I guess I had to learn it the hard way, as I didn't see your message before I posted mine. Great work, Walter!

BTW, I saw that Bulgarian local is included and have selected Bulgarian language in the input languages, but when I select during typing, nothing happens. No cyrilic alphabet. Of course I can use a different keyboard to have cyrilic, but I like the Multi-touch keyboard so much that I'ld like to use it instead. Any sugestions how can I get cyrilic chracters?

BTW, is GPS status app preinstalled (as I don't see it) or should I DL it?

Gps status can found in market.

So...

- when I say buttons always on: always = even if the screen is off...
- in the option of brightness system Motorola, when I choose auto, nothing happen. The brightness doesn't move... I can move manually, but when I check auto, the brightness keep the same brightness that I've just been set.
- Sorry, for my too short feedback for FC-facebook (I'm not a good english writer...). So, more details... When I add a facebook or a twitter account, the contacts sync works but when I clique a facebook contact in the contacts => FC! I had the same problem with motoginger and I'm not the only... Idem, when I clique on the display options in contacts => FC (except if I delete the facebook and twitter accounts before). Precision, when I install official facebook app, nothing option in the app to sync the contacts... I try to uninstall blur account, same problem...

You know all!

Weird! I don't have issues neither with auto brightness, nor with Facebook sync FC or opening a facebook profile.

The only issue I have is with the Social Networking widget - it doesn't display all FB updates and when it actually shows some of them, it is with a big delay.

Wow, finally toggles in notifications :D, great work, and for me there is no problem with the buttons brightness, I've been testing it a little when waking the phone they dim instantly, when I go outside they turn off and stay until I go in a darker place. Automatic brightness is also working very well. Also don't have any FC with contacts. For the FB updates it also display with a delay and it doesn't display all of them. With this rom and V6 supercharger this phone is really powerful.

okay me too facing the same prob of buttons being always On.
and Yes its a Green Lens Defy
Another problem i faced during installation was, downloaded 2ndinit from market and installed the latest recovery. Then updated the bootmenu with given version and after rebooting there wasn't any option of custom recovery, it had latest, stable and stock. So i went with the Latest one. So if i'm doing something wrong then let me know?

What language did you use normaly in Android? For Facebook could you check the update time settings?

Ok, i change the install instruction.

Could you test this on green lens defy:

! delete this file: /system/etc/init.d/08backlight

reboot

Did this fix the problem?
