I thought I should see if all this hacking actually is a performance increase via smartbench 2011.

smartbench 2011 scores

stock 1.26(rooted)
prod = 3003
games = 2395

stock 1.57(rooted)
prod = 2941
games = 2406

gladiatrix 2(on 1.57)
prod = 2422
games = 2317

just to make sure that something wasn't running on the first reboot after the install of gladiatrix 2 I have now rebooted and I am running it again....

gladiatrix2(on 1.57 after second reboot because it doesn't make sense after deodexing...)
prod = 2462
games = 2304

Huh.

That is very interesting indeed. I'm not really doing much past a deodex that should be affecting performance that much. I wonder why that is.

Ok, I request help here.... This is what I did

1. Plugged my AT&T Atrix
2. Ran install.bat
3. It says (after I choose "y" for superuser) that /system/bin/su: not found....

and then the same msg for the teethering and GaldiAtrix options.

This is a brand new phone.

What did I miss here?

Thanx

You're not rooted. You need to be on 1.57 with root. Instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016060

I redid the gladiatrix install last night and I think I understand what is going on.
before because I had walked away during the install I did not notice this.

during the copy process after the first set of files it reboots my phone.
I think the rest of the files never made it to my device. the gingerblur install over the top of the gladatrix install performed better because it applied the rest of the deodex files that never made it.

I understand that your recreating this rom using CWM but is their anyway to do a md5 audit after the apply to see if anything failed to copy over?

I am looking forward to the CWM install as it will hopefully install cleaner and we will see the performance increases we would expect.

Interesting. I've installed it on my phone several times, as well as helped many other people. Check /data/local/tmp/cp.log and post the results here. I'm curious if it's actually rebooting early or not.

I will have to restore and do the install again.
I know that it rebooted prematurely for me but
I have done so much stuff to my phone after the gladiatrix install last night that I am not sure if this is a accurate log.

cp.log
tar: removing leading '/' from member names
rm failed for /data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]*.odex, No such file or directory
rm failed for /data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]*.odex, No such file or directory
If you see this line in the log, we made it!

That last line is echoed to the log AFTER all the commands are completed, so it finished properly. If the phone rebooted early, we wouldn't see that line.

tethering for unlock simcard users

Hi

Do we know if this new version enables tethering for the unlocked sim card users outside the us after the OTA update?

Thanks!
