Everytime I unlock phone from deep sleep, I get pop up " connected to wireless ...... " , does that mean wifi disconnects in deep sleep?

I checked the network option and its already enabled to keep wireless connected during sleep.

Is there any fix I need to apply?
( Just reflashed the slim version (Safestrap), but still have this intermittent issue.
Can we use OC4 modules and is there any benefit of using OC4 instead of OC3?

@jt1998 finally it worked my friend :) I re-installed and selected external-SD for backup, also this time I selected "\data\com.keramidas.tita and created a new folder "backup" in it". I guess before it was trying to write on the root of SD card because I was not selecting right folder. ( not sure if creating "backup" folder was necessary) but as long as it works .. its good... thanks...
So glad it worked friend!

Need help!!! (using GE 53 slim )
Even when WiFi is in range and strong signal, it won't connect to WiFi and stays on 4G.
I cleared Dalvik cache / reflashed OC3 modules but still same thing. What else I should try?

Edit: I re flashed the ROM after complete wipe again and it seem to be working OK now.

Bad network signal.

I installed this ROM and eveything worked perfeect except for now having a very bad network signal. I have a constant 2 bars and 2G connection. I noticed that some info says I9505. I HAVE a Galaxy S4 I337 ATT using it on the TMOBILE network. Havnt had any issues as such till now. As you can see from the image, I currently have no signal inside the building I'm in and I'm right next to a window and can see my local cell tower in the distance.

I have also had this problem.
Since installing this rom I have trouble getting lte data in spots where I used to receive it consistently.

My tablet still receives lte in those locations.

I've posted about this but never gotten replies...it's been frustrating and I'd love any help or suggestions!

Really .... like this rom ... great work

you said " From a rooted NJ4 or prior baseband ROM, flash GE51 in safestrap " but ... I have an NC1 stock rom and rooted with kingo root ... do I go ahead and flash ... or is there something else I need to do first

... thanks

What about alternate kernels?

I was wondering, and maybe it's a dumb question.

Example: I have ANY bootloader over MDB and MDL, have to use SafeStrap (AT&T model specifically). Can I use 'any' kernel (AT&T based, obviously), and not just the SafeStrap 'Stock Kernel'? Or am I just limited to that one?

Thanks for answering to this not-so-noob S4 user. xD

Reset

Quick question if anyone is willing to help.

I have GoldenEye 53 safestrap installed on my S4 on OC3. Safestrap is not currently installed on the phone. I would like to do a factory reset of the phone but it's been a while since I worked with safestrap. Ideally I would keep the rom installed but just delete my data and preferences so that I could give the phone to someone else.

Is it safe for me to do a Factory Data Reset via the settings, or should I do it by reinstalling safestrap?

Thanks in advance

sure it is .... if its just a factory reset ... it will work without a twitch ... no need for safestrap ..

You can get in to Google Accounts sync settings through Gallery settings without that error.

Hi!

I had GE53 for almost one year and my phone started to get slower so I decided to do a "clean" reinstall...so I followed the steps from this post (returned back to NB1).
After following all the steps I came to the end but when it comes to boot into GE 53 my phone shuts down (black screen..so don't know if it's off for sure) after Safestrap screens which are appearing like 4-5 times.
I repeated the procedure like 4 times to be sure I didn't forget anything but still can't boot into GE!

Please, help guys! I don't want the stock lollipop ...it has to many useless things

Thank you!

Try doing Odin to OC3 stock kernel and oc3 stock partitions, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59980632&postcount=16811

Thanks for reply!
Tried that, but when I flash GE the same problem appears ....no booting after safestrap screen :(
Follow this guide closely: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...llipop-rom-t3135396/post61352064#post61352064

Only thing I encountered that it doesn't mention is that when going from rooted NB1 to rooted OC3 by using Flashify to flash, you need to first go to SuperSU and check the option to allow apps root access on reboot. That tripped me up the first time I tried it. Also I was unable to keep root after flashing GE53 on OC3 rooted rom/kernel but thankfully KingRoot got my root access back and then I used SuperSUME to trasnfer root management back to SuperSU. Previously I had GE53 installed on OK2 but I also lost root access when doing that as well but when I tried to use KingRoot on OK2 I soft bricked the phone (for the bazillionth time) so just make sure to do rooted NB1 > rooted OC3 > GE53, then KingRoot to get root back and SuperSUME to go back to SuperSU. This phone was a true PITA and after going through this process my antenna still isn't as good as it was on my I747 GS3 so I'm just buying a used/already rooted one on eBay so I don't have to resend text messages all day... Really not happy with my GS4 experience and it's not even been a week... I guess OC3 is the newest modem/radio available right? So this is as good as it gets...? My phone bumps around between 0 signal and weak signal if I am indoors at all, outdoors can be spotty at times too. Just don't get it , my GS3 with Liquidsmooth Android 5.1.1 had great signal everywhere.

Yes. Baseband is just the modem (radio). You can use any modem with any build. They are not version dependent.

Rockin' a l337 with Goldeneye v49.1 + Wanam Xposed and loving life on AT&T's 4G LTE network
So I have Goldeneye 53 on an AT&T I337 with the OC3 build/baseband... if I now UPGRADE just the modem to the OK2 version using a flashable zip ( https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24385658843824667 ) via Flashfire (Safestrap uninstalled because it is unstable on Lollipop) will I be OK? Every version from stock to NB1 to OC3 to Goldeneye/OC3 has had awful signal reception (especially compared to my previous GS3 I747) and I'm trying to improve it.
