Im not sure if this was ever fixed, but I have trouble with long-use GPS use, such as Navigation. When I was using Runkeeper Pro a couple of weeks ago on 4.3, for example, it started getting spurious GPS locations, so my 9 mile run turned into 210 miles, including a world-record swim out and back at the Atlantic Ocean, about 40 miles from where I actually was. I've noticed these issues with many/all of the CM6 Froyo ROMs for the Eris, though.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for how to actually download attachments from gmail? I can only preview them, and if I need to get an apk or something on my sd at work that's how I get it from the work drone computer to my phone. Seems silly I cant actually download an attached file. Or even sillier if I can, but just can't figure it out.
If you go to your browser and log onto gmail from browser you can download attachments
As just one more thing on this, I believe that when you click "Preview" for an attachment, the preview window that opens has a download link on the bottom. I've never tried it with an .apk file myself, though. If it doesn't work with an .apk file, you can try renaming them to .zip (apk files are just special zip format files, after all) and then rename it back after you download it.Does anyone have a good suggestion for how to actually download attachments from gmail? Clean Install of 4.4 Wireless Issues
I wiped my Wifes phone x 4 times and flashed Version 4.4 and the latest Gapps . During the set up phase , with Google I was able login ...during the synch phase , the setup screen again popped up and requested all my information to login. After that all went well , until I attempted to connect to my Wireless Router. I even rebooted the router . I noticed my phone was connected wirelessly during this entire time. After about an hour ... I tried rebooting, setting up a new connection . I Nanded back to 4.2 . Everything worked .
Next I flashed 4.4 , after doing a Dalvik wipe , over 4.2 and everything WORKS . Even the Wireless. Don't understand why the fresh flash didn't work .

I customize the rom a bit before i put it on my phone, and I noticed I had to wipe "system" or else remnants of the old apps would stick around, even after multiple flashes. Just hitting "wipe data/factory reset" wont do it.Next I flashed 4.4 , after doing a Dalvik wipe , over 4.2 and everything WORKS . Even the Wireless. I have heard of people using GPS Status to help fix various issues.
Same here. Restart Navigation and it will run for a while and get the same message again and again "searching for gps".
As mentioned above have you tried downloading gps status from the market and in the settings there is a delete gps data and then download gps data that helps with that issue.
screen wake with trackball
Has anyone noticed that the trackball setting to wake the screen works better without using a bluetooth. While using a bluetooth i have to keep pushing the trackball button to get the screen to wake.

Can't turn screen on during call...
Hey, I'm unable to turn on the screen during a call, once it goes off. This is especially frustrating since I have Google Voice and all my calls come from GV and then I have to approve them by pressing 1. If I don't get the dial pad button pressed right away, then I am unable to answer.
Any suggestions?

where is the gmail app?
i just installed this rom and afterwards the google apps and can't find gmail, and actually can't install any functional market app, though maybe that is another issue. when i go to accounts and sync in settings i choose the "add account" option and follow the instructions, first put in user name then password and the next page asks for server settings and has a box for "domain/username" and password and server. what am i supposed to put in these boxes? thanks

Hey conap, my wife's ERIS is still running this ROM ! Rock-solid and no complaints from her (that says a LOT !!!).
For the life of me I cant find were to calibrate the keyboard on this rom and I have tried searching this thread. Will one of you please point me in the right direction. Thanks.
As far as I know, keyboard calibration is an HTC Sense feature, not an Android feature...
