I am not a ROM 'chef' or 'cooker' by any means. This is just for people who simply want the full stock experience on their Nexus One. If you want a fancy ROM, request the real ROM developers in this forum.

Stock GRI40 (2.3.3 Gingerbread) ROM*

Nothing modified - ie. NOT ROOTED, requires custom recovery
Will be useful for future OTA updates
http://www.multiupload.com/7PFE6QVIEO

(To root the above ROM, flash the su.zip attachment below. It won't break functionality for future OTA updates)

Modified GRI40 (2.3.3 Gingerbread) ROM*

Rooted, De-odexed, Busybox, Apps2SD, Cache2SD, ZipAligned, Disabled Stock Recovery
Includes tkirton's Darktremor Apps2SD, which requires EXT3 partition on SD (only if you want this feature enabled)
http://www.multiupload.com/ALXR48D3YI

*Requires Hboot 0.35.0017:
http://www.mediafire.com/?q3rcfc6l4r9no8d
Code:
fastboot flash hboot hboot.img

(Or just flash hboot through this update.zip found here. Thanks efrant)

*Requires Radio 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04:
http://www.mediafire.com/?rgarixj28mbmhej
Code:
fastboot flash radio radio.img

(Or just flash radio through this update.zip found here. Thanks G0belet)

FOR FASTBOOT MODE, reset Nexus One while holding down trackball, then:

1) Go to PC and open an ADB shell
2) Copy boot.img/hboot.img to the same folder as your ADB session
3) Type the fastboot commands shown above

System Dump for devs (system.img, boot.img, radio.img, unrooted):
http://www.mediafire.com/?8f4dllu89t7ufhq

NOTE:
I'm not planning on doing any more mods to this, but if you wish to customize this ROM to your liking then use something like my HTC Android Kitchen. To set up, please read the FAQ posted in the kitchen thread.

im wondering.. is hardware aceleration enabled? if so does this mean FPS will now be more than 14-25 especially with LWP's on will it no longer lag my helix launcher?

Nope I don't believe this is HW accelerated. I think that comes with > GB builds. For a taste of HW acceleration you might want to try the HC port, it's impressively smooth for a build not optimized for our hardware or screen size.

but this is the New Nexus GB Build 2.3.3 that apparently contins the drivers used in the HC build..

AFAIK only Googles semi-proprietary WebM support is hardware accelerated, and as virtually nothing uses it yet, it's not very useful.

I'm not even sure that this IS the case, I'm unable to find ANY official (i.e not blogger guesses/speculation) word that there's any form of hardware acceleration on the N1 via 2.3.3.

Is there an official 2.2.x --> 2.3.x changelog anywhere?

a) Don't quote a whole screenful of post for a 1-line request

b) It's unmodified stock which means NOT rooted.

Either install it and re-root it yourself, wait for the changes to be merged with CM7, or wait for a pre-rooted build which will probably be available in a matter of minutes.

To self-root, flash Superuser from this thread from recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682828

Yep, although the drivers seem to be compatible for HW acceleration, GB itself doesn't seem to use this feature. The I build (Ice cream sandwich or whatever it will be called) will most likely have HW acceleration built in. Although far from extensive you can see that only HC has the feature currenty:

oh, do i need to do complete wipe if i'm coming from your FRG83G ?

You shouldn't have to if you're using a stock or near-stock version.
