Don't do anything, it's automatic.

I believe using Android's 'move to SD card' actually undoes what you want here, meaning you're moving the app off of the ext3 partition and onto the fat32 partition and defeating the purpose of DT's app2sd.

I'd appreciate if anyone could correct anything I may have gotten wrong...

Question to a2sd

Hello DSIXA

first thanky to this perfect ROM.
I was exactly waiting for a gb 2.3.3 ROM which is rootet and with a2sd on it.

But now I have a question.

I have put in an SDCARD with 16GB

it has 3 partitions
1,5GB EXT
256MB Cache
14GB FAT

I can install apps regularly but the amount of memeory is getting lower with each installation of an app.

I then opend a shell in terminal mode and did an a2sd check

I am not really sure but I think the cache and the apps are still going to internal memory and not to the sd card.

Is it really so that I do not have anything to configure in app2sd ?

what about zipallign ?

Can you just please post what preconfig you have done ?
I read the whole threat but there are many questions about a2sd but not all clear answers

By the way

I flashed your rom
did a complete wipe and did format the sd card in the recovery

then I started new.

Thanks for your help

Marcus

Anyone have disappearing screen issue? I noticed yesterday that I couldn't get the app list to show up in tasker. And today a few times the slider has been invisible. If I slide across where it should be the home screen opens up as usual.

I'm seeing this, too. Over a couple of days, it started showing up with Latitude check-ins, then to the Manage Applications/Running Processes list and finally where switching to the Home screen was wasn't showing anything but the top status bar. At this point, my phone had around 5 days of "uptime." When I rebooted though, everything was fine. I'm going to keep an eye on it to see if it's something that just "degrades" in the background until it finally shows up after 4-5 days of usage. , I have no idea what's causing this!

When I made this post, I think my phone had 200+ hours of uptime. Once I rebooted the issue has not reoccured. I have a task that reboots the phone twice a week now. No further issues.

I have 2.3.3 stock/rooted on my N1, what do I have to do to install this one?

Do I have to downgrade to 2.2.2 and then install this rom or I can just rename this rom to update.zip, put it on the SD and flash it from recovery?

You can type 'a2sd check' from a terminal to see the status.

Hello

could you answer and help me with a2sd ?

I try and try but i get error after error.

After a clean ROM install the apps are not on the sd

when I use the terminal to activate a2sd reinstall

the rom reboots and hangs - I have to flash the rom again

if I use another command like

a2sd cachesd

again reboot and errors

I think you did not set a2sd right - could you go over your scripts ?

Thank you and I would be happy to hear from you

Regards

These are darktremor scripts, not mine, and I was running this same implementation for a few months without a single problem. Read the reply above about 'a2sd check'. Make sure you have ext3 partition. If you still have problems related to apps2sd then just ask in his thread (search xda).

hello dsixda

i did not make you angry - i appreciate the work you have done and I love your rom. But I am still stuck at the a2sd . I can do what ever - i start an a2sd command and the phone reboots and hangs on the x - e.g. a2sd cachepart

yes I did insert a sd card with ext3 partition and swap and fat partition but all the time the same error.

would be intresting if other people have the same trouble.

perhaps there is a incompatiblity with dark... scripts.

What did you activate ?

Move swap to swap partition ?

Move Cache to SD EXT ?

Move Apps to SD EXT?

Thank you and thank you again.

Install custom recovery, back up your current rom (incase u want to go back) download this rom then go to recovery wipe phone and flash this.

I am not a ROM 'chef' or 'cooker' by any means. This is just for people who simply want the full stock experience on their Nexus One. If you want a fancy ROM, request the real ROM developers in this forum.

    Stock GRI40 (2.3.3 Gingerbread) ROM*

Nothing modified - ie. NOT ROOTED, requires custom recovery
Will be useful for future OTA updates
    http://www.multiupload.com/7PFE6QVIEO

(To root the above ROM, flash the su.zip attachment below. It won't break functionality for future OTA updates)

    Modified GRI40 (2.3.3 Gingerbread) ROM*

Rooted, De-odexed, Busybox, Apps2SD, Cache2SD, ZipAligned, Disabled Stock Recovery
Includes tkirton's Darktremor Apps2SD, which requires EXT3 partition on SD (only if you want this feature enabled)
    http://www.multiupload.com/ALXR48D3YI

    *Requires Hboot 0.35.0017:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?q3rcfc6l4r9no8d
    Code:
    fastboot flash hboot hboot.img

(Or just flash hboot through this update.zip found here. Thanks efrant)

    *Requires Radio 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?rgarixj28mbmhej
    Code:
    fastboot flash radio radio.img

(Or just flash radio through this update.zip found here. Thanks G0belet)

FOR FASTBOOT MODE, reset Nexus One while holding down trackball, then:

    1) Go to PC and open an ADB shell
    2) Copy boot.img/hboot.img to the same folder as your ADB session
    3) Type the fastboot commands shown above

System Dump for devs (system.img, boot.img, radio.img, unrooted):

    NOTE:
I'm not planning on doing any more mods to this, but if you wish to customize this ROM to your liking then use something like my HTC Android Kitchen. To set up, please read the FAQ posted in the kitchen thread.

oh, do i need to do complete wipe if i'm coming from your FRG83G ?

You shouldn't have to if you're using a stock or near-stock version.
