Siyah was the most stable for me out of all the custom kernels.
No support means you can only ask in the Siyah thread if you get into issues.
Iam trying out now... so far it looks very good. But my vibration stopped working.... Somebody has a clue what that can be??? i have siyah kernel 5.1 with NO vibration on CM9?????

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me, though I am afraid I may be ^%$$
I have a Credo (Sprint EPIC 4g) Samsung Galaxy S-II that I just flashed with CM 9.1.0-galaxys2.zip I had to use ODIN because I couldn't get it to work with CWM or with Siyah.
I flashed it successfully and CM works EXCEPT that I cannot connect to anything. NO wi-fi. NO mobile data. even the USB doesn't connect! I've tried wiping data/cache/davlik and re-flashing CM and that does nothing. I've tried manually adding my provider (Credo)'s APN, and that still doesn't work. My computer doesn't have bluetooth so I'm not sure if that would connect. At this point, I have no other ROM on my SD card to try flashing and I obviously cannot transfer any new ROMs onto my phone as it won't recognize.
I don't know what the next step should be. PLEASE HELP! I would be most appreciative.

Strange problem, try to flash another rom, i used CM9 09122012 without problems. You can use a microSd memory card to transfer it on the phone from the pc.

Sprint Epic 4G Touch is a CDMA device and is not GT-I9100 which is a GSM device. You are in the wrong forum, and you flashed the wrong ROM.

You don't usually get support if you use other than the stock kernel. This could be the source of your issues.
Anyway, here you go:
1. First make sure everything is backed up somewhere else, on your PC (contacts, pictures etc). You can back-up your apps as well with titanium backup (but ONLY user apps, not system apps or system settings).
2. Make sure you have the latest cm rom (nightly or stable) on your sd card (internal memory, not memory card)
3. Reboot into recovery and do a full wipe - this will NOT erase your internal memory (if everything goes well), the place where your photos are saved (don't reboot just yet)
4. Flash your rom (you saved on your sd card in step 2) and DO NOT flash siyah again.
5. Reboot
6. See if your problems are gone BEFORE restoring anything.
7. If everything is OK, your issues are still gone, restore everything you backed up
8. Check if your issues are still gone after the restore.

I'm having problems with signal in CM9. In CM10, my signal strength is above 70% ever over -80 dbi. In CM9, my signal is limited in 50% (-89 dbi) or under. I flashed all modems posted by @codeworkx in first page, but the issue continues. What can I do? Change the ril can solve this?

Anybody read about Koushik Dutta's mod for Chromecast? Its been posted on Cyanogenmod's Google+ and looks really interesting. Apparently, it will stream videos locally stored on your phone.
Anybody advise if his code will be merged into the S2's branch and if CM10.1 would be getting it as well?

If you're a bloody noob and getting confused by following simple instructions, go down and read about using the noob-proof ODIN method.
First time installing CyanogenMod 9 to your Galaxy S II, or coming from another ROM:

- Make sure you're running ICS bootloaders lower than LPH! (if you're unsure, flash the CM9 Resurrection Edition)
- Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Copy GApps and CM9 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM9 zip
- Flash GApps zip
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your calendar sync will not work)
- Reboot
- Don't restore Apps using Titanium Backup!
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 9:
- Copy CM9 ZIP to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM9 zip
- Reboot
Using the noob-proof ODIN method:
- Download CM9 Resurrection Edition
- Download GApps and put it onto your internal sdcard
- Open Odin
- Choose cm-9-XXXXXXXX-ODIN-galaxys2.tar.md5 as PDA
- Boot your phone into download mode
- Connect your device via usb to your computer
- Wait till Odin has fully recognized your phone
- Hit the start button and wait till the flash process is finished
- Device boots automatically into recovery
- Flash GApps
- Reboot into CM9
- Follow above steps to update CM9 to lastest available version (Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 9)

It's done when it's done. Don't expect a release withing the next days. If it takes weeks, then it takes weeks.
I'll focus on I9100 development because it's the device with the most users.
It will take us a lot of time to integrate all patches/hacks needed for samsung devices.
Don't bug us or ask for etas, just be patient and let us work.
