Okay I did!

I have noticed that the system apps uses more space and ram in your builds than in other ROMs (being the same apps by lineage) I don't know why but it makes the device uses more RAM...
Be more specific: Whos builds? Which builds? And compared to whos/which builds?! :)

BTW I am using lineage-14.1-20170408-UNOFFICIAL-serranoltexx.zip from "visi0nary" with open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20170408.zip from "opengapps" now.

If you read this thread, you would have found out.
With a bit of research, also other Pixel features could be run on this device, such as Pixel Launcher or Live Wallpapers.
I finally got Google assistant working. It was a bit convoluted and a bit different from the threads I'd been reading. Maybe this has to do with different ROM, etc. (I am running the 7.1.1 Mar 13 ROM on GT19195.)

Anyways, this is what I had to do, in case this helps someone:
1. Change system language to US English
2. Edit build.prop and add the line: ro.opa.eligible_device=true
3. Clear Google App data in Settings
4. Remove Google account and then re-enter old account and sign in
5. Remap long press home button to = search assistant in settings
6. Enter Search assistant using the home button, then set up Google assistant (OK Google, etc.) for use.

This is a combination of methods from a half dozen different threads. I am not sure if all the steps are needed, but when I follow just a single method before, I was not able to get Assistant running.

Now that I edited build.prop, I assume I have to do this every time I flash a new update?

Any one dirty flashed the latest build with no issues?

---------- Post added at 11:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:39 PM ----------

New build.

GT-I9190 (serrano3gxx): lineage-14.1-20170409-UNOFFICIAL-serrano3gxx.zip
GT-I9195 (serranoltexx): lineage-14.1-20170409-UNOFFICIAL-serranoltexx.zip

Notice: This is Android 7.1.2, so if anyone goes back to 7.1.1 after installing it, that might require a full wipe. Also, there might be issues with current OpenGapps packages. I'd suggest trying this: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=170282
Will there be a problem if I dirty flash this room as usual without reflashing Gapps i.e. just flashing this zip file?
Thanks for the great work and effort! you're the man! :good:

I think the issues with OpenGapps and 7.1.2 is with the setup wizard, so if you dirty flash it should be ok. Doesn't hurt making a backup just in case though.

Hello,

for me it went flawlessly with just flashing the ROM without GApps.

Alarm worked for me so far. <I am using cLock.>
I had an issue with the system time when I first installed the ROM tho. When on the default "Automatic time zone", the phone thought I was 4 time zone away. <This does not appear to be a network issue, as CM 13 correctly set my time zone.> I had to manually set the correct time zone for time to be displayed correctly. Maybe this had something to do with the alarm?
I had no problems with the system time.

Doze should not affect alarms at all! Anyway did you try to whitelist it in battery optimization?
Not yet, I'll try that at next miss

As you seem to be only one affected I guess it may be some other app interfering? Are you using a task killing app, a battery saver app, automation app? Maybe even just another app that uses clock in some way but is badly coded?
IMHO only betterbatterystats would fit.

Current active apps which I have installed additionally:

  • de.eplus.mappecc.client.android.alditalk
  • com.amazon.mp3
  • com.asksven.betterbatterystats_xdaedition:cowboy:
  • org.sufficientlysecure.viewer
  • at.topfen.ecas
  • it.android.demi.elettronica
  • org.fdroid.fdroid
  • com.fddb
  • fddb.extender.pro
  • org.mozilla.firefox
  • com.android.vending
  • com.google.android.gms
  • com.fsck.k9
  • com.google.android.GoogleCamera
  • keepass2android.keepass2android_nonet
  • de.nextbike
  • dk.jens.backup
  • net.osmand.plus
  • com.db.pbc.phototan.nb
  • fi.polar.polarflow
  • nl.mpcjanssen.simpletask
  • info.aario.snotepad
  • de.hoffmannsgimmickstaupunkt
  • com.google.android.deskclock
  • com.mdv.VRRCompanion
  • com.whatsapp:rolleyes::silly::eek:
  • com.vrem.wifianalyzer
  • com.google.android.youtube

What battery mode is your phone in when this happens? Is it "power save", I can't imagine that should affect it but may be a bug in that power profile. Have you denied anything to stay awake with privacy guard?

I would suggest wipe data in clock, cLock ...... maybe also Qualcomm time service or Samsungdoze also but as yours is happening across rom makes me think it's another app.
Battery mode is set to "Ausgeglichen" (balanced(?)) with automatic optimizations on and energy saver mode set to never.

It is happening less often than in CM13 though.

Glad you got it working. After dirty flashing new updates, Google Assistant itself still works for me. However, updates seem to overwrite Pixel Launcher and boot animation, so I just go over the process every time anyway.

After installing latest rom (7.1.2) I cannot install the google dialer app. Is that normal?
Using Google pixel experience, so just flashed that over the top of new update.
Don't forget to set new phone app as default.

To the guy having alarm not going off, I use Timely app for all clock functions, use alarms to take medication, never failed so far and have not changed anything for it to work, also disabled clock app if this helps.

files (aosp file manager) seems to be missing from the 7.1.2 build
After I switched the language to US english and rebooted, the "files" app suddenly appeared.
Switched back to german while keeping english as second language in the list and it's still there (called "Dateien").
Solved for me :)
This worked for me before... I don't know if for latest built too...

Clean install: can't get connected to adb over USB cable (no devices found). adb over WiFi network works well though. MTP works fine, so it's not the USB cable. Can anyone confirm that bug?
From TWRP adb works well too.
