The 0x37 capabilities came from LOS14.1 releases, I don't know why this was changed.
As for why the changes you saw are in the source, my guess is that the changes were Kanged from another device that may have slightly different hardware.
In case you are still wondering about the capabilities part, the difference between 0x37 and 0x31 is that 0x37 has bits 1 and 2 enabled. According to the commented part, these are MSB and MSA. These are A-GPS features: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assisted_GPS#Modes_of_operation

Again, we don't have BEIDOU. As for which satellites are used to get a fix, I cannot remember any GPS test app that actual distinguishes which satellites are used. Most I have seen gives you the number of satellites used, and the strength of each satellites, so you can only assume that the strongest satellites are the ones being used.

Please give a screenshot to show that you know that the GLONASS satellites are not being used.
To me it looks like, on GPS Test app, the amount of satellites "In use" is always the same as GPS satellites with a signal bar. I know this is vague but it looks like GLONASS satellites are not in use even if their signal is found. Can someone confirm?

try to make full wipe(cache, data, internal storage, system etс, choose all items except of sd card, external storage) and install everything again and then reboot.
Thanks for the tips, but it wifi keep dropping after reboots if I mange to rebooting. I have tried everything and still cant make it work. ROM+ Root=wifi works so and so. ROM+ PICO GAPPS = no wifi , ROM+ROOT+GAPPS=bitchy wifi comes and goes as it like.
By the way when I try to format the internal it says it cant do it do to some error.

I can confirm that I NEVER get a GPS lock using GLONASS satellites; even when their signal is clearer/stronger than GPS (ie higher S/N). I have also checked on another phone (N5, running RR Oreo) and it too does not use GLONASS satellites to get a fix. I think someone above posted that it may have something to do with the east-west crap (GLONASS being Russian).

The question is not what, but why. We can all read the few lines directly above the actual changed value:p

I use the bootloop problem when booting to the Samsung logo it is repeated when the power. I have to remove the battery and then re-start the normal boot. I use the S4 E330L hoping to fix the next build.

I found this possibly related reason for why LineageOS for S5 has seemingly same problems: https://jira.lineageos.org/plugins/servlet/mobile#issue/BUGBASH-383

Maybe the story is similar for us.

I'm able to get a fast fix after choosing a local NTP server. I read that using too many servers may have an inverse effect, so I chose two with the lowest latency. Enabling those A-GPS features doesn't seem to hurt either.

Did anyone observed any changes in BT behavior? I had massive BT disconnects and afterwards BT stopped working completely until reboot with 15.1

So I had to switch back to 14.1 but without new builds and security is March 2018 :(

I have this problem too with BT, connection losses and sometimes Bluetooth Service crashes.

Another problem:

Sometimes Magisk /latest stable v16.0/ crashes too.
The Magisk Manager app is working perfectly ,but the root goes away until next reboot.
Its causes many problems, like installed thing by a Magisk Module crashes.

I dont know its ROM or Magisk problem, but very annoying.
I can send logcat later

I have an issue where I have to boot to recovery and then to System for the OS to load. If I just turn on or do regular reboot it goes into boot loop. This is with the 12th may build.

Try 27th May build. Issue was fixed on my e330s. It was persistent for the past 4 builds atleast.

Ok, I'll give that a go when I have the time and report back, but it's not really a big problem. Regardless this rom works pretty much flawlessly except for a few quirks which I don't know if are OS related or not (Spotify randomly pauses every now and then, and the SIM card wasn't found on boot once, and sometimes the audio jack stops responding and only plays music from the phone speakers, after unplugging audio jack and later putting it back in), but other than that I couldn't be happier and this really has transformed my phone into feeling like a brand new one although it is like five years old. That said, I upgraded it from the official rom which is like android 4.3 or whatever and it was bloated with all sorts of gross samsungware. So thanks a lot OP, you're a legend.

I don't know what the rules are on this but I also wrote a heimdall flashing tutorial specifically for this phone because I had to manually flash the official update to upgrade my modem after flashing custom rom prematurely here:
https://www.simernes.com/?p=279

Please tell me if this is inappropriate and I'll remove the reference, but I thought maybe it could be useful.
