Why doesn't GPS work in Lineage 15 or 16, is there some adb command to fix it without root? Just wondering why doesn't kyasu make it work by default, like in Pixel Experience rom?

GPS works nice for me. Are you sure that GPS doesn't work on this Rom? When did you try GPS on Pixel Experience? I ask due to the fact that it's very common issue with GPS on Samsung phones. Unfortunately it's hardware issue but it can be fixed easily with aluminium foil.

I could gmaps navigate with latest Pixel Experience rom. With this rom I need to disable and re-enable location to update my location to gmaps.
This is what I get indoors next to window. Also couldn't get fix outside and all signals was better.
Can't post links yet :(

The big difference between these ROMs is the gps.conf (ie pixel and los). For best GPS performance, you need to modify this file to be specific for your location on the planet & network provider; and hence you will find the Pixel experience ROM may have better response, while others will work fine under Los; and also hardware, but test the gps.conf file first.
I have always changed my gps.conf file on every ROM I flash on every device I have had, as they are normally specific for another region to where I am.

Is there any github where kyasu describes his work? It's so quiet here that I fear this project may come to an end some time soon...

There are links to his GitHub page in the op. But of course I can't tell you how the roadmap of the development looks like.
Edit: I just want to add that the last activity there was barely a month ago so that does not look abandoned to me.

Also, on each update / new build post, he actually posts a direct link to the description of changes he has made. eg https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77932681&postcount=98

Kyasu thank you for the build! I have been using it since 14.0. Lately after the October build of 16.0, camera stopped working. I have tried a fresh install of the firmware but the problem persists. How could I possibly troubleshoot the situation? Have you noticed such behavior before?

FIXED with formating even internal storage data
