First impression I have is that this ROM already feels as though it is mature enough for daily use. Everything I need is here. Thanks so much to Xplodwild and the other devs that have worked so hard.

Its not all good news though, and I hate to be a buzz kill, but...... these hwcomposer issues really seem to have negated any project butter enhancements completely. In fact , I'd go so far as to say that the interface feels slower than CM9.

I don't understand the problem, but all I can say is that I hope the devs can get to the bottom of it without the need to rely on Samsung. I fear that without Butter , jelly bean is far less appealing.

Either way, none of that can detract from the awesome job done here.

Seems like most sensors aren't working. At least according to Androsensor.

GPS not working and orientation also seems borked .

went to the camera and took one photo (was ok) then took another one and the device froze and went off... took out the battery and put it back in, powerd up and stuck at "samsung galaxy note GT-7000" logo...

edit: wiped caesh and powerd up normally

Ulp... This is worrying. I thought I'd roll back to CM9 and call it a night. CWM had other ideas! I get an error when trying to flash any nightly build and it aborts.

Update: Looks like ro.build.product is to blame somehow.

Flash another kernel and restore? Not sure if you've already done that.

running good for me...

sends and receives sms fine... makes and receives calls fine... camera works, alarm works, ring tones work...

that's all the major bits covered...

took me a while to find the 'accounts' area though, was used to menu clicking in contacts to add accounts like FB, HaxSync and stuff... not there any more... has to be done in the main system settings, and then go there every time you want to make an accounts change, rather than just bringing up the menu in your contacts list...

one thing i absolutely love though... the gallery 'select' tool for contact photos, wallpapers, lock screen and whatever... that stupid 4 way blue mesh thing has gone completely... praise the lord... replaced with something that looks a lot like the TW select tool, and works a hell of a lot better...

one problem i found, every time i tried to select a contact photo, contacts crashed on me... no big deal though...

So far loving this, going to run with it for a few days and see how it handles :)
