When i came to know that after lot of hype that note 2 is getting tw lollipop update and at the end denied update by giving foolish reason that note 2 is having problems with lollipop,i messaged samsung international team and lambasted them with my words.They work only for money.They know that if they give update,then the sales for overpriced note 4/5 will not go up as many people are still with note 2.That's y i purchased iphone 6s plus and will not prefer samsung if they keep going like this.Seriously uncaring Samsung Team.I know that apple team also doing same thing with giving updates that make phone lag but atleast they are giving updates

They still give the 4s the ios 9 update and that phone is almost 5yrs.

Note 2 is awesome phone,in fact a beast
But samsung makes it bad day by day...with kitkat update....and then no update...

I have also note 5 purchase in November with me.... but also using note 2...because its my awesome phone from 3 years...and these good hardworking developers makes it alive...
But same with note 5 ... NO MARSHMALLOW UPDATE TILL NOW....from November all the people are buzzing wor MM but no one cares....till s7 launch...and they make note 5 bad....

So its my 2nd mistake to buy Samsung again. .....only developers from xda can now save my phones for 2 or 3 years...but not samsung...

And time will pass away like this and when 2 years get over as samsung has bond with Google to update their phones for 2 years or atleast give 2/3 major updates.They will abandon that phone series.and will release more overpriced mobile.I heard that samsung team is no more interested in Note series also and working more towards S series.Seriously unknown/unpredictible samsung team

Totally agreed...i live in Croatia and i bought note 2 when it came out...brand new with no contract...i bought it in Samsung store...and last official update for my phone is 4.1.2. I cant belive what pathetic update policy is that...thats why im thinking that my next phone will be iphone..

My last update was 4.3 until dn4 and eclipse pushed 4.4.4

In India we got 4.4.2 update with some small correction updates.
If they want to be in market,they have to make revamped and uniform policy for updates at international level otherwise no body can save samsung from going down.Already this company is undergoing losses in their mid quarterly financial update.

There is little bit problem with this series(v6 & v7),cracking of system sound if installed any extra mod.but you can manage with agni and dolby.You switch off your dolby when not in use and lower your system notification volume or system also.with boeffla,when only poweramp you are using

I will use it in that way... when I want to listen music I will turn on Boefla in Agni and Dolby or Viper (still didn't try both to see which is best). If you find better way write here

Porting from Exnos 4415 to 4412 is not so easy how ever devs are ready for it but prob isYes here come the prob The Mega 2 of AT&T has 5.1.1 Lollipop official TW but this firmware is paied, no other variant of Mega 2 has lollipop,
For porting we need dump files of LP and
Unlucky N2 lovers we dont have a dump file source till now from this LP update... we need atleadt bootimage
Lets see what will happen
For sure if it happen tht will be a hot subject in entire XDA ?
If any one can arrange a system dump or atleast a bootimage update it in main dev thread of N2
Uploader will be a big star also after

Yesterday I flashed AC'S wonderfull V7.
Apart from the world clock fc and no notification on the lockscreen everything is fine.
Even the sound is better than in V6.
However I have two questions:

-why is the wallpaper scrolling disabled in the V7, is there a reason for it, because I like wallpaper scrolling.

-is there a fix for notifications on the lockscreen and will every notification be displayed(whatsapp, XDA messages)

Permanent disabling of SMS, MMS & Email log history

Hi guys
I have modded the "SecMms_Cherry.apk" from Eclipse V7 to have no more: SMS, MMS and Email in phone log history!
From now you will have only call logs

For those who wants this feature, first make a backup of "SecMms_Cherry.apk" that you'll find in "system\priv-app".
Then:

1-Replace the old one in "system\priv-app"
2-Set "rw-r-r" permissions
3-Reboot

That's all.

HEADS UP NOTIFICATION FIX FOR V7
Here is the fix for this issue where heads up notification not working even on enabling option.
Instructions:
1.Go to the links as desired and download system ui
2.Flash system ui of your choice in recovery
A.Pure Note 5 and N5 MM system UI
