How can I have acces to my external sd card?

Verstuurd vanaf mijn GT-P5210 met Tapatalk

If you have just flashed the ROM and want to access your SD card then you go to
File manager (blue file icon in the app drawer) ..... Then when you are in the app just swipe your finger from the left side of the screen towards its center .... A vertical ribbon will show up with a menu of two options just select the (SD card ) option from it
If you want to switch back to the internal storage tap on the option (internal storage)

Hi, tnx for reply. Its not that what I mean. When I open file explorer, I cant find my external sd card. Its like there is no sd card in my tab, but there is. Its not mounted...I think. How do I fix this, because before never had problems with it. It started after flashing this rom.

Ahaaaa now I understand
Sorry for the misunderstanding :( :(
And I guess that's a weird problem but try out these solutions and hopefully they may help you
-make sure that you wiped all(cache-system data-dalvik )before the rom flashing
-make sure that you flashed these zips in the same order (cm ROM zip ---> gapps zip --->Houdini zip)
-try wiping up cache & dalvik and then try again
Also make sure that SD card isn't damaged by trying to access it from the recovery or trying to access it on another device
Hope it works for you :D

Accelerometer seems Jumbled or shaking.(or is it called tilt control? XD)
While Playing Asphalt 8,.. It lacks sensitivity when trying to turn then it constantly seem to increase sensitivity then goes back to low sensitivity like a delayed respond..

It is also delaying while turning about 1 second when tried to tilt in opposite direction.

-I also tried clearing cache ang dalvik

@nels83 I got pretty annoyed that there wasn't an up to date gapps package for our tablets (nothing to do with you) so I made one myself!

6RUiVk9.jpg

I made it from open_gapps-x86-5.1-pico-20150816.zip, just repackaged it so it'd flash. As far as i can tell it's working perfectly!
I tested it on a completely clean install, booted once to make sure the system was clean, reboot to recovery and flashed my gapps, Voilà! Up to date google play and services!
See the screenshots attached for an example.

Download: Google Drive

If some of you could test it and let me know how it works for you that'd be great, have a nandroid backup ready just in case though :D

PS: this is google play store and services only, ie the "pico" package - Package-Comparison

Hey guys
I was wondering if I can install the samsung stock music & video players and the camera apps to this ROM
& apps like s voice and more from the stock Samsung rom
And set them as my default apps for running media and photography etc
It's like taking some apps from a ROM and sticking it into this ROM
Is it possible or not???
If yes ... How???
& Thanks for replying

How do one repackage a gapps file in order to make it flashable for our tablets?
Can anybody tell us? Or is it too difficult to do for an average player?

I would like to flash the full gapps package. I've read it would install in the system partition, thus saving space on the user partition. Last time I checked the system partition had 1.4 gb free space waiting to be used, so why not move some Google apps there?

Anyway, thanks for this ROM. Even without any further improvement it made my P5120 fun again!

Strange problem here

Hey guys, I have a really strange problem with my tab 3 P5210.
3 days ago, I wanted to log on my pc via teamviewer and my tablet suddenly crashed and bootlooped. I only saw the CM Bootlogo. In this situation I tried to reflash the last update but with no luck. When I tried to clear Cache and Dalvik Cache, TWRP crashed and restarted.
I have to say that I'm using the rom since release and never had any serious problems with it, I also didn't changed anything on my system so thats really strange.

So at this point, I resetted it to factory via TWRP and reflashed the rom and also formatted the data and cache partition to F2FS this time. That worked so far until today.
Today I wanted to clear Cache in TWRP because some apps had problems with my wifi connection. So I booted to Recovery and got a Black Screen, nothing else. I powered it off, tried to boot normally and after the Samsung Tab Splash Screen the Screen shows only Black, no Cm bootlogo nothing. Same thing when I try to boot to recovery, only Black Screen.
Now, nothing works and I can't do anything I think except flashing via odin.

Has someone else seen this behavior?
I don't know if I should give it a try again or if I reflash the stock KK rom. :confused:
greets

I'm wondering if anyone is having success with the 5220? I'd like to flash this, but don't want to lose my data connection for times when traveling.

Problem mit Amazon Prime Video

Hi,

at first thanks nels83 for this excellent ROM!
I'm using it on an Tab3 GT-P5210. It runs the latest ROM.

There are no problems so far, but an little problem is there.
I'm using the tablet for watching video, especilly the "Mediatheken" here in Germany. All is ok.
Also ok are watching local or home network video with MXPlayer (with HW/HW+ decoding).

But I'm having heavy problems watching video with the Amazon Prime software (V2.0.45).
The video is stuttering and often switching from SD to HD and vice versa. It hangs also often
for 1..3 seconds.
That's on 2.4GHz und also on 5GHz WiFi.

I'have made an logcat inside.

Thanks.
With regards

    Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1

    CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1 (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, ...
     * You flash this at your own risks
     */

    About CM

    CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Important information

    You need a recent TWRP version to flash this ROM.

    Installation

    First time installing or coming from another ROM
    • Copy ROM to SDCard
    • Copy Houdini to SDCard
    • Copy GApps to SDCard
    • Boot into recovery
    • Backup EFS partition
    • Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Dalvik Cache + System + Cache + Data
    • Install ROM
    • Install Houdini
    • Install GApps
    • Reboot
    • First start takes a long time

    Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 12.1
    • Copy ROM to SDCard
    • Boot into recovery
    • Install ROM
    • Reboot

    [OPTIONAL] Converting filesystem to F2FS (thanks @michiil)

    The ROM has F2FS support. You may want to use it instead of the default (EXT4).

    This will delete ALL files/data from your tab.

    What you will need: A working PC and a working USB cable.

    1. Install the most recent Recovery
      Download the most recent Recovery from the second post. Flash the zip file in recovery. Back in the main menu press Reboot > Recovery
    2. Format Data and Cache to F2FS
      Wipe > choose Cache > repair or change file system > change file system > F2FS > Swipe to Confirm
      Go back and repeat the same steps with Data. I got some error messages when formatting Data but they don't seem to be a problem.
      Back in the main menu press Reboot > Recovery
    3. Install Rom + Houdini + Gapps
      Connect your tab to your PC and copy the zip files on the tab.
      Flash the files, reboot and enjoy :good:

    How to get back to EXT4

    You will again loose all files/data on the tab.
    Just repeat Step 2 but use EXT4 instead of F2FS.

    What's working

    • RIL for P5200 (data, SMS/MMS, calls)
    • GPS
    • 2D/3D acceleration
    • HW video encoding/decoding
    • Screen cast (miracast)
    • Sound
    • InfraRed
    • Camera
    • Wifi
    • Bluetooth
    • Sensors (and automatic brightness)
    • Smart cover lock/unlock
    • Multiuser
    • SDCard, USB OTG
    • Tethering (USB, Bluetooth, Wifi)
    • F2FS and exFAT

    What's not working

    • Chromecast
    • RIL (for P5220)
    • MHL
    • Secure videos/DRM (Widevine, Google Play Movies...)
    • HW audio decoding
    • SELinux (disabled)
    • You tell me

    How to root

    • Go to 'Settings/About tablet'
    • Tap 7 times on 'Build number'
    • Go back
    • Go to 'Developer options'
    • Tap on 'Root access'
    • Select 'Apps only' ('Apps and ADB' if you plan to use it in adb shell)

    How to help

    When something is not working correctly, in addition to common informations, I may ask you to provide logs. There are different kind of logs and it's not always easy to get all of them. For this, you can use SysLog (available on F-Droid or Google Play.

    There is currently a bug in the app. Download it from AndroidFileHost. Use this patch if you want to compile it yourself:

    Code:
    diff --git a/app/src/main/java/com/tortel/syslog/utils/Utils.java b/app/src/main/java/com/tortel/syslog/utils/Utils.java
    index 40d41b8..80ae55c 100644
    --- a/app/src/main/java/com/tortel/syslog/utils/Utils.java
    +++ b/app/src/main/java/com/tortel/syslog/utils/Utils.java
    @@ -144,7 +144,7 @@ public class Utils {

                 Log.v(TAG, "Path: "+path);

    +            if(!outPath.mkdirs() || !outPath.isDirectory()){
                     throw new CreateFolderException();
                 }
    Make sure to root device before using this app.

    To get the logs:
    • Start SysLog
    • Click on 'TAKE LOG'
    • Once log is taken, SysLog will try to share the resulting file, just cancel
    • Send me the file /sdcard/SysLog/[YYYY-MM-DD_HH.mm]/[YYYY-MM-DD_HH.mm].zip

    If you left 'Scrub potentially personal information from the logs' checked, you should be safe.

    Note
    There is currently a bug with HW video decoding/encoding: you can't have both. By default, the ROM provides HW video encoding but partial HW video decoding.
    If you want full HW video decoding, you can flash hw_decode.zip (you will however loose HW video encoding).
    Fixed in alpha 11.

    A bug appeared in Alpha 13 causing voice calls (in P5200) to be muted. It will be fixed in Beta 2. In the meantime, you can flash audio_test3.zip after flashing the ROM. Fixed in beta 2.

    Beta 3

    Hi there,

    Beta 3 is here. GPS is finally working and F2FS has been updated (hope it will fix the problems some of you had). CM has also been updated so a bunch of security fixes are included.
    I also updated the video corruption fix so if you have any green bars please tell me.

    I'm still investigating MHL and BLN support but have very limited free time...

    Happy flashing ;)

    Alpha 13

    Alpha 13 uploaded (based on the stable branch of CM12.1, it will help finding device specific bugs)

    Sorry guys, still no beta... and only one fix.
    However I added KeyDisabler, it lets you disable the capacitive keys and enable the navbar (in Buttons settings).
    Also added is CABC (in Display settings).

    Development is slowed down (again...) but I'm not giving up. I'm currently working on a clean TWRP version (almost done ;)).

    Thanks again for all the reports !

    Happy flashing
