I don't know exactly the difference between these versions. But it doesn't matter for flashing TWRP, choose one. Maybe the latest.
Then flash the ODIN TWRP img file from this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...msung-galaxy-tab-3-10-1.3340938/post-65941300
After that flash the latest TWRP zip file inside TWRP from here:

Hi everyone,

I updated the ROM with the patch from @ddudek77 (thanks!) which should fix Magisk. I also updated LOS to security patch level April 05 2021.

@SerjSX I didn't look into the launcher problem yet but the warnings are "normal". The old binaries need text relocations, even though they are deprecated.

Tablet is slow because memory is low and the low memory killer needs work. Since new android versions use another memory handler, I started looking at it. Don't expect something working in the near future but I'd really like to update this rom ;-)
Okay thanks! It's annoying to have the dark borders at the top and the bottom.

And thanks for fixing Magisk!!

@nels83 Hi, Magisk works THX! These errors are still showing up (new ones showed up as well in the first picture):

1. (new)
adb1.png

2. (old, I've sent it before)
adb2.png

I hope you're fixing these, thx and let me know!!
Thank you for making this rom better, I hope you work into fixing the broken stuff as well that's on the first post under "What's not working".

Would you be interested in adding some more tweaks?

In this post there are some optimizations for build.prop:

Personally I only use low_ram and dalvik.vm.isa.x86.features

For low memory I add a swap like in this tutorial:

But I create it on /data (have enough space and feel safer if /system remains read only)
I used the same build prop optimisation as yours, but the devic is laggy as hell with modern apps. It wasn,t that way after fresh install. I might factory reset and look carefully of the effect of each install. Befroe that I'll try some memory flahsing, that could help.

Did you install any Google app or service?

I came to the conclusion that was surely one (of others?) root cause fot lagginess...

I updated my devise for lastest build and the problem with audibility during a call did not disappear. Neither I nor the caller can hear each other. I have no Gapps. Is there a solution to this problem?

Indeed I did install gapps nano
I'd recommend you to install MicroG (from Magisk) and Aurora Store for downloading apps. Also do disable (keep them at 0) Animations from Developer settings.

I did use Gapps earlier, they did cause lag but when I switched to Microg and Aurora Store (with animations disabled) the device is much better.

I'll look in the thread for Magisk install, not sure it's easy to install of this rom (I used microG app for youtube vanced). Did you relfash the rom, or did you a find a clean way to uninstall gapps ?

I did a clean flash. Flash rom with Magisk and flash MicroG magisk module for better performance (along with some disabled features).

There is Magisk module for MicroG, use that one (You can search in modules page).

I did not use TWRP version of MicroG.

If you still want to flash from TWRP then use this link (Stable Nano packs). This is MicroG one (I installed this in another phone and it is simple). Also after setup do install (if flashing MicroG) F-Droid and add MicroG repo, otherwise you wont get updates for MicroG apps.

@nels83 and all others who support this ROM:

Many thanks, I installed this ROM on my old tablet, it's running really great!

For two of my devices I managed to build from sources with own keys but I am struggling with santos10wifi. I tried to compile under Ubuntu 18 but latest after 40% of the sources jack-server is failing no matter what tips from reddit or forums I use (including a virtualbox with Ubuntu16 but this did not help either).

I guess it is related to the repo sync command? Because here I get errors from git that I tried to fix with --force-sync but not sure if this works out correctly.

Could you give me a hint how to compile successfully?

The last couple of days Ive been trying to install this ROM on my P5120 and I almost give up.
Nothing works.
I think I managed to install TWRP3020 via Odin and thats it. (I am not sure though, as I dont see any advanced options like Dalvik wipe in Recovery)
I have the developers menu in 'Settings', but dont see any root options.
Everything else returns the "Failed to verify..."
I tried to follow the guides to work around the error, but they are not comprehensive enough for me :D
Can anyone provide me a bulletproof updated guide without using ADB as it doenst install properly on my PC..
Thx :)

EDIT: I finally got ADB working.
And finally succesfully flashed OS.
Uncheck auto reboot in ODIN. That did the trick.

Good Day! Glad to find this thread. I have a GT-P5210 (not sure what model whether it is 3G, WIFI, or LTE) currently rooted and has TWRP version 2.8.6.0. I am also on stock rom but did some debloating and customization. May I ask for the latest instructions to install this ROM? Thank you very much in advance for your help! More power!
Instructions are in post #1 of this thread

Gracias Amigo !!! Thxs so much !!

I started to use the tab with a sd card inserted, and indeed I have a lot of force close, and many more lags than without. As written earlier in this thread this rom is not made to use with a external SD card!

Did you format your card in a specific way, or did you put your swap file in internal memory?
IF external card, do you install it AFTER voot as suggested earlier ?

lineage has a internal root option! no need to super su I guess !

I created the swap file on the internal memory.
Didn't know about a internal root. I installed supersu as i was told in this guide.

I'm not using a external sd-card. No need for one.

Report after a while: I installed a swap file (din't manage tu use root swapping with integrated lineage root, so I use non-root swap). Device is now fast enough for my use (mainly youtube vanced and VLC streaming), despite gapps installed.

a far more useable in fact!!

Unofficial LineageOS 14.1 for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, ...
    * You flash this at your own risks
    */

    About LineageOS

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Important information

You need a recent TWRP version to flash this ROM.

    Installation

First time installing, coming from another ROM
    • Copy ROM to SDCard
    • Copy GApps to SDCard
    • Boot into recovery
    • Backup EFS partition
    • Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Dalvik Cache + System + Cache + Data
    • Install ROM
    • Install GApps
    • Reboot
    • First start takes a long time

Upgrading from earlier version of LineageOS 14.1
    • Copy ROM to SDCard
    • Boot into recovery
    • Install ROM
    • Reboot

[OPTIONAL] Converting filesystem to F2FS (thanks @michiil)

The ROM has F2FS support. You may want to use it instead of the default (EXT4).

This will delete ALL files/data from your tab.

What you will need: A working PC and a working USB cable.

    1. Install the most recent Recovery
Download the most recent Recovery from the second post. Flash the zip file in recovery. Back in the main menu press Reboot > Recovery
    2. Format Data and Cache to F2FS
Wipe > choose Cache > repair or change file system > change file system > F2FS > Swipe to Confirm
Go back and repeat the same steps with Data. I got some error messages when formatting Data but they don't seem to be a problem.
Back in the main menu press Reboot > Recovery
    3. Install Rom + Gapps
Connect your tab to your PC and copy the zip files on the tab.
Flash the files, reboot and enjoy :good:

How to get back to EXT4

You will again loose all files/data on the tab.
Just repeat Step 2 but use EXT4 instead of F2FS.

    • Go back
    • Go to 'Developer options'
    • Tap on 'Root access'
    • Select 'Apps only' ('Apps and ADB' if you plan to use it in adb shell)

    How to help

When something is not working correctly, in addition to common informations, I may ask you to provide logs. There are different kind of logs and it's not always easy to get all of them. For this, you can use SysLog (available on F-Droid or Google Play).
Make sure to root device before using this app.

    To get the logs:
    • Start SysLog
    • Click on 'TAKE LOG'
    • Once log is taken, SysLog will try to share the resulting file, just cancel
    • Send me the file /sdcard/SysLog/[YYYY-MM-DD_HH.mm]/[YYYY-MM-DD_HH.mm].zip

If you left 'Scrub potentially personal information from the logs' checked, you should be safe.

@nels83 Since there hasn't been any update to the 14.1 version for several months, do you happen to be working on a 15.0 version? If so, please let us know what we can do to help development!

    Cheers

I'm still working on 14.1 (big RIL cleanup). I'm also trying to fix these annoying FCs caused by OpenGL but it's really time consuming (for me at least...) since it happens in proprietary files.
Development slowed down for personal reasons (new house and a daughter in 1st grade :victory:).

Anyway, I'll upload an updated version with November security fixes even if OpenGL FCs are not gone.

As many of you know now, development on this device slows down from time to time since I work alone on this but I always come back ;)

    Beta 2 uploaded

    Hi there,

Beta 2 has been uploaded (LOS released November security patches yesterday).
Major change is the removal of substratum patches. I'm sorry for those of you who use it but I suspect some problems may come from these and it will be easier for me to focus on "pure" LOS stability.
There is also some RIL work: network should be more stable and audio calls should be crystal clear (added wide-band support). Again, since I don't own a 3G or LTE device I can't test it so let me know ;)
Last thing is a possible SDCard fix for those who experience bootloops.

I'm now working on OpenGL FC's and audio fixes (mic and volume).

    Happy flashing
