Hi,

little question: since CM9 i'm noticing that the rendering of any screen content appears to start slightly outside the physical screen coordinates. Meaning that everything is cut off at the left edge of the screen (most visible for instance in ConnectBot). Seems to be about 4-6 pixels. The question is, where to control that? Is that in a configuration file or does that need a complete rebuild of the rom to get fixed?

Where are the camera options? I can't select between front/rear camera or settings like flash on/off, saturation, etc! I am on latest droidbasement build, with all wipes made. Everything else works like a charm!

i'm on the latest nightly and i have problens with the youtube app, it always force closes directly (v 4.1.23 from market)

Uninstall, reboot, and install fresh from the market. I had no issues with Youtube while I was on the last CM9 build.

YouTube troubles me the same way. Every time i start the app it directly force closes.

I am on ICS-Bootloader with the latest nightly from get.cm (20121014), I already did a factory reset but nothing helped.

Have my catlog attached.
Thanks for help in advance

I found this in the CM10 thread - can confirm, that worked! :good:

Same here on my P7510. Can not start youtube at all. Also happened on the cm9 builds by pershoot. :-\

edit: found the problem...seems to be a bug with system language setting. Youtube starts when language is set to "german (germany)". It does FC when set to "german (austria). So german does not equal german. ;)

Workaround: avoid the system language setting "german (austria) for now.

Can somebody tell me if the latest CM9 nightly from 2012-10-21 has all of the latest pershoots commits in it, that are normally found on his blog?

Yeah, there's a 2 mb difference from the last official CM nightly (well, at least for the p4tmo version). Does anyone know what changed? Is it worth flashing?

It should, Pershoot committed the last changes he made to the official build.

On a side note: Shutting down the tablet reboots it instead of shutting it down. This is on the official CM9 nightly for 10/21.

Hi

I have CWM installed with a bootloader fix (rolling screen)
Running 20120727 build at the moment, this build is fine.

I tried to update to latest of October (the 2 latest ones), and rolling screen is back.
Cold boot, everything's OK. And when i switch screen off and on, bam = rolling screen !
Need to maintain power button to power off the tab. Tab is starting fine, and everytime i switch screen off => rolling screen.

I flashed back 20120727 to have a working Tab again.

Latest october nightly builds are buggy ?

update your bootloader and modem to the stock ICS variant for the october builds.

NOW THAT WE HAVE OFFICIAL NIGHTLY BUILDS I THOUGHT IT WARRANTED A PROPER THREAD NOT A KANG ANYMORE
CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.0 (ICS), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    *
    */

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    What's working?
    • 3G - Make sure you have the correct APN Settings for your carrier/region.
    • HWA Video - No all the formats are supported, Blame NVidia or ... the world - (YouTube does work)

    What's not working?

    • Camera - This will only be fixed once we get an ICS Leaked ROM - Period, so stop asking! :)

    I want feature X?
No - You will not get it or maybe you will, I have no Idea what feature will get implemented. This is not the place to ask.

First time installing CyanogenMod 9 to your Tablet (3g version), or coming from another ROM:
    - Make sure you are rooted. (Plenty of thread available about how to do it)
    - Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery version 5.5.0.4 not any other version (Recovery[UPDATED]). This is the latest (2012-05-24) that works with the device make sure you flash this recovery via ODIN.
IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THIS RECOVERY YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO INSTALL CORRECTLY/YOU WILL GET UNKNOWN VERSION ABORTING INSTALL ERROR
    - Copy GApps and CM9 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
    - Boot into Recovery
    - DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (First Time Users)
    - Flash CM9 zip
    - Flash GApps zip
    - Reboot
    - Enjoy!

    NOTICE:

IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY ISSUE WITH THE ROM AND YOU HAVE OVERLCOCKED/MODDED THE ROM DO NOT REPORT THE ISSUE UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMED THE ISSUE ALSO OCCURS WHEN NOT OVERCLOCKED/MODDED!

IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY ISSUE AND YOU HAVE CONFIRMED IT IS AN ISSUE POST LOGS, USE PASTEBIN.COM IF YOU CANNOT ATTACH LOGS TO YOUR POST.

im nearing completion of p4 with all working. will call upon a few of you to test when im almost there.

'should' have a test out by tonight/tomorrow night.

the other remaining tabs will follow once this is done.
    6
    an update,
im not able to solve the flicker on portrait swiftly. it doesnt happen in JB. so ill forgo a stable ICS rls and move on to cm10.

ill build out one more experimental for cm9 and upload source changes in to CM so they will be in the nightlies while i prep JB for the new stuff.
    5
all work has been merged in to CM mainline. they'll show up in the next weekly build or you can grab the latest from droidbasement for now.

Care to elaborate a little further for us who are being overly cautious. Does factory reset from ROM refers to the Factory Data Reset in the System Settings or a data wipe from CWM (or both)? What's the safest way to wipe for a clean install?

    Thanks!
