I used towel root to root. After I install safestrap I can install any compatible rom and it wont trip knox? I could have sworn I saw some posts saying the newest update isnt compatable with safe strap. Just want to be sure before I do anything. Also any recommendations for a custom?
NC2 kitkat works with safestrap 3.75 every one is using it. so far knox has never tripped and I have flashed a many a test and roms. we have our locked bootloader to thank for knox not getting tripped .

@resac Make sure you have USB debuging checked ( from developer option you get that by pressing Build number repeatedly for 7or more times) when you start EFS Professional look at your home screen phone and give it access when the pop up shows

no use carl.. even after falshing modem baseband is unknown........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Hey all! I had my ATT Note 3 (SM-N900A) rooted on JellyBean. I followed the instructions here to download JUST THE AP FILE (AP_N900AUCUCNC2_722276_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5) and the Odin link.

I put the phone into download mode, then ran odin exactly how the first screenshot has Odin setup (just the AP file selected and the file size confirmed). I ran it, the phone rebooted, Odin said "success" or green box w/e. Now my phone just sits at The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Custom boot screen. :-/

I wanted to just upgraded to Kitkat without losing anything, but it appears I'm "boned" at this point. Im going to try to attempt it again, but if anyone has pointers, please let me know :)

EDIT:
Did I maybe mix up the files? :X I downloaded the AP file and selected it with the AP button. Am I supposed to be using a different file? What are the different files? They're not explained much here :(

EDIT2:
OHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Does "Odin One File Install" refer to the "all in one file"?!
Gaaaaaah. I hope I didnt mess up my bloody phone with my stupid mistake. I didn't follow the file names at all. Currently downloading the "all in one file" with HOME in the name right now off mega.

EDIT3:
DONE! Got it working. Just replaced the file with the "all in one" CSC file, redid the Odin, and now I'm in with all my programs and files in tact. Thanks for the document!

Need help

@carl1961
I soft bricked my ATT Note 3. My phone has MGL bootloader and MGL kernel. I was running DK 7.1. I was trying to install a different custom rom but installation did not start. Installation stucked rightaway. I pulled the battery out to restart the phone. Now when I turn on the phone it stucks at Samsung Note 3 logo. It can't go further. I can go to download mode and recovery mode. Could you please tell which file do I have to odin to fix the brick? I don't have any intention to go back to JB. Any help wold be highly appreciated.

use the 4 separate files, to do a factory install, this wipes your internal sdcard

Do you all think the PIT file is needed in my case?

When using Safestrap yesterday, I tried to load a new rom in the stock slot, I did a factory reset first. However, during the process it could not mount the items required. Now I can't boot to the OS.

I'm going to use ODIN to get things back in order and wondered if I should use the PIT file as well, the device had weird software quirks before hand. My confusion is, the directions say to use all firmware and software when using the PIT file, but I thought the BL file didn't do anything on an ATT phone since they are locked. Am I misunderstanding?

Thanks!

---------- Post added at 12:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:23 AM ----------

Also if my phone came on nc2 using this should be fine right?[/QUOLook at the picture on op, you put install in AP section with odin make sure your comport lights up and when it finish checking your rom the press start
