Yup thanks, the SS install isn't my big concern, what I want to make sure of is that I have a fallback to stock AT&T (via either Odin or SS).

Do I understand from your first post in this thread, that if I flash the following file (in PDA slot of Odin):

All-in-One N900AUCUCNC2_N900AATTCNC2_N900AUCUCNC2_HOME.tar.md 5

that I'll be right back where I was when I got my Note 3 - stock AT&T NC2/4.4.2 build?

I've learned from experience to have all the "fix my brick" pieces ready before I start flashing new ROMs.

Thanks again for your help
yes that will put you back stock NC2 without wiping internal sdcard (home)

Does the OEM recovery (volume up at power on) have a factory wipe? Mainly cause I really like all my rebuilds to be as clean as possible even if I have to reconfigure/reinstall everything.

I always worry about crap from past builds/ROMs being left behind and screwing up the new one.

If recovery can't wipe can odin? Or at the very least boot the new restored OS and do it from in settings I suppose.

(can you tell I'm used to cleaning up from flashing mishaps?)

:)

yes stock recovery does have factory wipe

also @muniz_ri N900AUCUCNC2_Full_Odin_Tar one file install does the same. what he did was combined all the 4 separate files into 1 odin installer.

I have successfully modified Aroma and installed Hyperdrive N3 RLS7 for T-Mobile on my AT&T Note 3!!!!

Link to Rom:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2709867

Link to Aroma Guide:http://highonandroid.com/android-roms/how-to-remove-aroma-installer-from-rom-zip-file-for-safestrap/

So I used the guide to modify the zip file to install in safestrap. I followed it almost exactly with one minor mod. I had to use the update-binary from a rom made for AT&T as the one he has a link to fails the installer. Figured this out through several fails and finally realized what was causing the failure.

So the process goes like this:

1: Download the rom

2: Extract all the files within the zip into a workable folder.

3. Navigate to C:\Users\User\Desktop\Rom Folder (or what ever directory and folder you are working from)

4: Once you are in the root of the folder, navigate to META-INF\com\google\ (Here you will find updater-script )

5: Rename updater-script to updater-script.txt

6: Download and install notepat++ and open file in notepad++. (From the guide, the stock text editor for windows is not advised)

7: Go through the text and delete all aroma related entries. You will need to study the video or guide to understand what to delete, but seems pretty straight forward. If I can do it, you can do it!

8: Save file and remove the .txt extension from the file.

9: Remove all but updater-script from that folder.

10: Open another rom zip made for ATT and navigate to the same folder within that zip. Find update-binary and extract it to your working folder.

11: Now go to the root of your working folder and zip it all up. (You can use windows zip program for this as it works just fine)

12: Once it is zipped up, rename it to what you want and copy to your phone.

That's it. Just be sure to make a nandriod of your system so if something goes wrong, you can just restore and try again.

This is a copy of the modified text I used with all aroma text deleted and left all apps and tweaks intact. You can compare this with the original that the rom comes with. It can be modified further to exclude what you do not want.

I am already rooted and everything, and stupid me tried to flash a JB rom on my KK phone and now I'm left with a wiped internal storage and can't flash anything from SS because I get an error message because it says "unable to mount '/system", is this fix for me??

Thanks!

Also, if anyone could list the steps that would be prevalent to me I'd appreciate it.!!

Install the nc2 firmware and use tr.apk to root. Then install busy box and then safestrap. Then you can restore your backup or go to nj5.

Does anything happen when you connect the charger?

Sent from my AT&T Galaxy Note 3 using Tapatalk®
When I connect to wall charger nothing happens. But I just connected it to my laptop and it reboot? I'm scratching my head here. I was talking to my friend and it just shutdown on me.

Also my battery isn't charging at all? Do you think a dead battery could do this?
