great job
Install Miui 10 stable with Resurrection Remix and it goes very well
The only fault I have found is a small flicker of the screen, which makes exporadically
I advise installing a version without gapps, and then flashing opengapps arm 8.1 peak in TWRP
The navigation bar does not appear at the beginning, but can be activated in settings / customization

Download GSI file in PC

Unzip it and copy the img file to the ADB folder and rename it as system.img or whatever you want, to make it easier to find it

Enter TWRP and format data partition (Wipe / format data)

Restart in Bootloader mode

Connect phone to PC (make sure you have the Xiaomi drivers installed on your computer)

Enter the ADB folder, which is created when you install Minimal ADB, on the PC's C disk and execute the command (cmd-here.exe) so that a system or CMD window will open

Write the following command first; fastboot erase system and give Intro

Then type the following command: fastboot flash system system.img and give intro

When the process is finished, write, finally, this command: fastboot reboot

The mobile will reboot

Then, depending on the GSI you install, you will need GAPPS or not

I did the same thing

But when I reboot the system after flashing the gsi

It's again coming to fastboot ....
I tried with many other GSI

But it's again coming to fastboot mode

So what I will the problem?

Do you use GSI arm-32?
Remember that the S2 / Y2 is armeabi v7 and only GSI arm can be flashed, never the arm-64, because they are not compatible
if you've tried RR 9 does not work, a few others either
I have worked well ViperOS, AOSiP, Pixel ExperienceP, AOSP 8.1 and 9, DescendantTwo, DotOS, LineageOS 16 (build March), EvolutionX, Zirconium, PrismaOS, AOSDP and I do not remember more
All these are with Android 9, with Android Oreo there are few and with enough failures
Here you have all the GSIs published in XDA and other sites: https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki/Generic-System-Image-(GSI)-list

of the two forms, but I consider more secure by fastboot

Are you having TWRP for y2?

I just flashed GSI in my Redmi y2

After flashing it does not go to the system boot

Instead my phone screen get black and light pops up after 1 to 2 seconds.....

I tried both TWRP and ADB method

So what could be the issue????
