Well, I can only compare it to my OP2, where navigation with CM isn't an issue at all - same settings. I'll try it again with just GPS enabled and see, if the results will change too. Thanks for your reply, xrad :).

You could also run another app which keeps the screen on, perhaps an ebook reader which doesn't really do anything when idle and compare the drain. As always when dealing with SOT "measurements", try to keep the ambience light steady or disable the auto-brightness alltogether. Otherwise you will have wildly diverging results (side node: this is the source of 99.9% of all misunderstanding here on XDA).

@xrad: SOT isn't the problem. Indeed, I read ebooks on my phone and this wasn't ever any problem :). Maybe I have to change some kernel-settings - dunno. My brightness also is fixed at the lowest acceptable value, so there isn't any change at all. Like I said: 1:1 same settings as I have on my OnePlus 2. Stock CM kernel too. Maybe grarak implemented a fix for such issues - possible. If I have time, I'll dig deeper into it. Just guessed, somebody might have the same problem & knowing a solution. Thanks again for your reply :).

So... I would love to hear exactly what broke first ALL Carrier Connectivity and with the latest nightly, Mobile Data. What's being done to resolve this FullStop #Fail? Is their an official (developer) response I missed? Is there a recovery option that does NOT require a complete custom reinstall from scratch? Can I solve thus by restoring a previously working TWRP backup? Would it make sense to test nightlies prior to release?

Answered my own question on TWRP recovery. Wipe & Restore to working pre-#Fail version and voila! Will wait for forum-confirmed known good update to upgrade again.

Is it possible to make some request on this rom?

First: in data usage, can you improve the selection of data period?
Now we can only choose monthly period...but I think that some people will be pleased to set weekly counter (especially some H3G Italian users).
Of course, there are also apps that do this (like "3g watchdog").

Second: is it possible to insert an option under WiFi settings (or under 3g settings) that allow users to choose about download method under WiFi net?
For example, yesterday I've started download of 450 mb file under WiFi...I don't know why, but after a while WiFi connection dead...and device finished download using 3g data.
The result is that I've reached my weekly plafond.
We could have an option that, if switched-on, ask user, in case of WiFi loss, if stop download or continue under 3g.

However... great great great work...I use this ROM since I've bought phone...it's perfect as my daily driver.

Rapid charge works for you guys? Used to work for me until a few weeks ago, said "Charging rapidly" when i plugged the charger in. Now it says just "Charging".
Happened to me before, and after i unplugged the cable from phone and charger, and the plug it back, it worked. Now i'm stuck with slow "charging" tried even with a different charger, with better mAh and same results...

Kernels that are still developed are rare...
I am using Llama sweet kernel from @genesixxbf3. Atm the best I can think off :)

Thanks, that would have been my 1st choice as well. It's the only kernel showing CM support.

How good is the GPS?
Good enough for accurate navigation.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Code:

     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if

As codeworkx said there is no way that any camera app could reach same optimizations that stock camera running stock ROM can reach.
The problem is that is not app related problem, but there is a part related to the OS that you are running. CM is a "stock custom ROM" that has to work on several devices. That means that is impossible customize it beyond certain level without talking about a modded CM.
This is the reason why we talk about aosp codeworkx ROM that could possibly be created just for the specific needs of G4 and fully optimized for our device only.
This is the only way to try to have stock camera quality on a custom ROM.

I can write a camera app which has same features as stock cam. And it will work fine on CM but i can't bundle it. But i can provide it as addon download.

    So where's the problem?
