I've seen a few other people complain about this one, the fingerprint sensor. It has lost sensitivity compared to A10 based Havoc and A11 Lineage. It seems to reject the fingerprint before it has even had a chance to scan it properly. Another problem I'm having is with pocket mode, again new to A11 Havoc. Often the phone will explain that it's in pocket mode when I try to unlock it despite it being in my hand and the sensor array being totally unobstructed. A couple things with MicroG too; "permission to access location in the background" and "permission to recieve text messages" aren't checking off on the self-check list. This doesn't seem to be causing any issues with apps, but they are failing to check regardless. It also seems to not be able to detect when I pick the phone up very well for checking time and notifications, and wake on pick-up as a result. Not sure what happened between the transition between A10 and A11, but LineageOS doesn't seem to be having as many of these issues.
I want to be able to continue using havoc since it holds a lot more features than the lineage build for this phone so I hope these can be ironed out.

Edit: Fingerprint unlock has disabled itself, though it reenables after a reboot, as others have said too.
Edit 2: The MicroG issue was user error. I didn't follow the instructions as is usually the case LOL. I was meant to install the micro g core first as a user app, grant permissions, then install the magisk module.

OTA
Atm OTAs do not work automatically with OF recovery, so once it reboots you to recovery, just go to /data/havoc_updates and flash the zip from there, no need to wipe anything

Dirty flashed caused that most likely, or could be your gapps

Update was smooth aside from the launcher update removing stuff from the home screen, fortunately not much there anyway. Fingerprint still isn't as good as it was on A10, but it's better than the previous build for sure. Still having issues with 'prevent accidental wake-up' aka pocket mode, it will frequently get locked into pocket mode even though nothing is obstructing the proximity sensor (verified with diagnostics that there's nothing wrong with the prox and ALS). I'm also not quite sure what the requirements are to activate ambient display on pick-up, but it seems to require some force to get it to come on, but at least hand wave works perfectly.

Pocket mode has been always clunky, G6 uses a faux sensor so its a bit tricky to get pocket mode working right. Fear not Im aware of this. Thanks for the feedback

Nope, mine doesn't get very hot as on v4.6 its resolved now and battery time is normal full charge can last a whole day but depends on the usage.

Updated via OTA (and manually flashing in recovery as stated) and some things broke:

1. As other users stated, home screen and some launcher settings were gone after the update.
2. Both Play Store and Google Play Services do not work, they keep crasing and most of my apps are reporting that they won't work because Play Services is "missing". Is it unexpected behaviour due to dirty flashing? I did have root prior to updating, don't know if that could've messed with the update.

Hey your gapps most likely broke the gapps support. I used flame gapps with ota and had no issues.

Oh I see. I was using Roar Gapps so maybe that's the culprit. Will do a clean flash to solve the issue, otherwise the new update is great and battery life has improved on my end so thanks!

Hello guys, I am new to the phone modding...and as a noob as i currently am i would like to ask you about what are the crucial steps to upgrade my LG G6 (H870 EU model) to this HAVOC-OS 4.8
What i have done up to now is buck up my phone through google. (Contacts, apps, settings and photos). Then i downloaded the HAVOC-OS 4.8 from the original Havoc-OS Website after found my correct phone tab there. (i read that i need to download GAapps and Magisk as well?) put them all in my SD card and then while holding Vol up and power on i enter the hidden menu where i can wipe all the data and select to install those 3 programs? But in order to do that i need to use a bootloader? Is there an easier method than this? Is it necessery to do that? or i can skip this step if my phone is not locked for a specific carrier as mine is? I havent find a step by step guide for my phone and i am little afraid to do that without asking for some help from you guys first. So any help would be appreciated.
