Thank you very much for the prompt reply. I just noticed that if I change my CPU governor to "on demand" or "interactive" the big CPU clocks are locked at maximum frequency while the small CPU clock fluctuates (but mostly stay close to the highest value). For instance I set the big CPU clock to 1500 and it was locked there and never went down even when I was looking at the screen idly and doing nothing. The only time this clock fluctuates is when I set the governor to "power save".@Sobek5150 had the best advice on this. Helped me too. Install Smartpack Kernel Manager for this:
"Personally I have always (since getting on custom roms in 2018 with the G6) underclocked the CPU. Usually 1593MHz on the CPUs that are bigger and 1100MHz or so on the smaller two. I use Interactive CPU scheduler. Also in Virtual Memory make sure you have Zram turned on, use lz4 compression option (better than lz0) and 2048 Mb for the size."
In think there might be an issue with the kernel and trying a different kernel might be worthwhile. I'll wait for the developer's response since he will be able to tell us if flashing another kernel over the current ROM would be safe or not.
UPDATE: I tried different frequencies with different governors and was able to find a frequency for both small and big CPUs that fluctuates appropriately on "interactive". Thanks
