Will installing this rom wipe internal storage. Sorry but I can never remember, I'd guess it does. My internal storage is full and I don't want to wipe it. I only want the try the rom and then reflash oreo stock when I'm done experimenting.

Do a backup first then... You can use TWRP for that. Or you can get migrate custom rom app for free to help transition onto the new ROM. You can also buy titanium backup it does the same as migrate. You could also back it up with adb.

Can someone help me with preferred data?

I'm getting super frustrated with my data. The first problem I have is sometimes texting pictures or sending pictures through FB messenger don't go through. I have to restart my phone for it to send. If I wait five minutes before sending another picture, it usually won't go through and I'll have to restart again.

I can deal with that, though. My big problem is not getting calls (and now texts). A lot of the times, my husband calls me, it goes straight to voicemail. I do use YouMail as my voicemail, and that does block spam calls, but it doesn't always just go to vm. I would assume if it was blocking it because it thought his number was spam, it would block it every time.

Whenever I call out, it takes between 15 seconds and 1 minute and a half to actually ring. Very few times it just "hangs up" before ringing and I have to try again to get it start ringing. I've checked a few times and my data connection shows H when I was talking, but then it goes back to LTE off the phone. What would the correct preferred network type be for T-Mobile? My setting is currently on LTE/TDSCDMA/WDCMA.

I just turned on roaming to see if it'll fix any of these problems, but I don't want to spend a million dollars in roaming fees. Oh, and for not getting texts recently, today my husband said he'd call me on his lunch. 45 mins after he usually takes it, I get 2 texts. One saying he's on lunch and to call, and one saying his lunch is over and he'll text me on his next break. I was on my phone waiting for him to text, so it's not like it came in and I missed it. I just received it way after he sent it.

Can someone pretty please help? The people on this thread have been super helpful for the other problems I've had, and I'm hoping someone will have some advice on how to fix this problem =(

Hey @x86cpu, just want to say thanks for the LO15 release - when Lineage pulled h918 support for LO14 back in mid-March I thought I was boned.
Anyways, I came over from the official side (flashed to-x86cpu.zip, lineage-15.1-20190526-h918-pre10p, opengapps nano 8.1 arm64) and was very impressed by the work (I am on the 10k firmware). However, I did notice that the phone will sometimes lag out on the lockscreen (it'll lock and takes a while to unlock), volume adjustments will take about 15 seconds to happen, and phone calls will sometimes seemingly not happen for about 10 seconds on the dialer. Gallery3D (the android gallery app) will not create thumbnail photos taken from OpenCamera if storage is set to the SD card rather than internal storage.
Wiping the /data partition and "factory wiping" it doesn't seem to help - the same lagginess seem to manifest itself.
I read from previous postings on this forum that it might be related to a specific firmware (might need a bl/modem upgrade?), or to a specific version of the software build.
Any ideas?

If there's a newer firmware than the one you're running that's still v10xx then download it from LG Firmwares, and use KDZ Writer to update your modem and firmware using that KDZ.

If you run a pre10p ROM on a 10p or above phone... It won't boot and hang on LG logo.

Thanks for the reply - this also effectively makes my pre10p backups useless since restores will not work...correct? Any caveats before I upgrade BL/modem from a pre10p to 10p+? Also, is there a recommended BL/modem version for LineageOS 15?

Your backups should be fine, don't restore system from it. The data portion should be fine.

These are my UNOFFICIAL builds of LineageOS-15.1 for LG V20 variants. I did NOT create this ROM. I am helping to contribute to this ROM. Thanks to all other coders who contributed to LineageOS.

IMPORTANT

• BACKUP! These are UNTESTED builds. Please be ready to recover your previous ROM. If it kernel panic, boots into bootloader, etc... grab as much info as you can.
• Builds are done periodically (see download below)
• Do NOT be rude.
• Respect all users.
• Any and all users, please help each other. I have a us996 variant, so other variants might have some issues.

• Other known issues (same as OFFICIAL too):
  • us996 static on boot: Unlock bootload from LG, using dirty santa causes static on boot, will not fix. (sorry)
  • WiFi or Bluetooth MAC is "00:00:00:00:00:00" - You wiped the misc partition, you'll need to fix: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70474540&postcount=12
  • 5Ghz tether not working due to "error"
  • Enabling ADB Debugging in development setting can cause a kernel crash. If you are quick and press OK right away, it will take and still crash. On reboot, it will be enabled.
  • H918 - ARB1 .. flash the 10p version, ARB0..flash the PRE10p. (10p is where the ARB got tripped to 1)

Install

• You can upgrade from 14.1 (UNOFFICIAL) to 15.1. If you are not on my UNOFFICIAL yet, flash the to-x86cpu.zip first (and reboot recover before upgrade, not reboot into system).
• I would suggest the TWRP from Phoenix591 (See Thanks section below)
• Flash to-x86cpu.zip if you want. (See Downloads below)
• Flash UNOFFICIAL ROM
• Wipe cache, and dalvik cache
• Magisk if you choose
• Flash GAPPS (I use nano)
• Reboot and wait....

Bugs
If you encounter issues/bugs that are not known, please report. This is not the OFFICIAL ROM, but I can help to get any issues fixed. I use the us996 variant. If I can replicate your issue then I can track it down. If I cannot, please provide as much detail as possible. Logcats are great.
Please indicate what v20 variant you have (h910, h918, ls997 us996, vs995, h990/ds) and what you are running (OFFICIAL or UNOFFICIAL) and date. Any mods (no judgment) as well.
I am aware people run mods or change things. I am not against it (as I do myself). However, if needed I may ask you to data wipe (you can say no), or remove a mod that might be interfering. I will do the best I can.

I tried this rom on my vs995 variant and I can't get the camera and fingerprint to work, tried oreo and pie builds but still the same issue. I did not install any mod, just the rom and Google apps (nano)
PD: I flased the most recent build from this month and I have tried older bulds as well, but still can't get camera and fingerprint to work

I am looking for a version of any android v20 rom which which does this: Uses the whole of the screen including the second screen portion in a standard way without any kind of second screen functionality as you get in stock. I flashed a rom that did this some months ago but I don't remember which one it was! If it can be done with the rom provided in this thread which one with which kernel should I use. Thanks.
