What's the best kernel for use with this ROM? Any significant difference between hammerhead and hammerheadcaf version? I believe my is hammerhead, but I'm using this CAF version of crdroid because I've been used crdroid from LG G3, and didn't get a non-caf version of crdroid for n5, so tried CAF and works OK, so...? But I'd ask about different kernel so I'd be able to use Synapse...

The only custom kernel available for nougat CAF is TruSight. And it works perfectly in Synapse, if you flash the ukm zip included in that op before flashing the kernel. It makes sure all the settings work properly.

Hi all! I'm new on this ROM and after 1000 probs (error 7 on ROM flashing, error 70 on gapps flashing) I got it! :D
I have some question, but first of all I wanna thx all the community and developers.
I have some sporadic force close here and there but in general all is OK.
I wanna ask you which is the best config for battery life (kernel/kernel settings).
I would know which is the average SOT of this ROM.
Furthermore I wanna ask u how can I set the date in the bar above, and how can I add into the toggles the CAT (the nougat waste egg, u know ^^)

PS. Last quest. Wht is miscellaneous(see the screenshot)?

Thx Firebird for your great job.

In addition to the questions in the previous replay (above) I would know: why I should prefer a CAF ROM instead of a non CAF one?

(And Which one grants best battery life?)

Thx again

PS. Oh and...is there the possibility to set the "clear all button" in recents? I can't find it :)

@firebird11

Is it possible to add more options to Buttons? Like button layout/reorder/long press home for split screen and long press back to kill app?
Also in some ROM I saw option to long press 'screenshot' shortcut/in power menu to take only area of screenshot.

Any change for that or I should start looking for relevant commits and cherry pick and buld my own ?

Thanks

Yes there is. In settings-> crdroid settings-> status bar
Your welcome :)
Am I blinded?? XD I can't rlly find that ( I think an even bannable from XDA for something like this). Can u screen me?

I take this opportunity report some force close on settings (not that frequent, but I assume report it can help somehow).
Actually it happens to me when I tap on the battery section.
Anyway this ROM ROKS! ;)

All new CM14 builds have the same problem - lags in some apps like Pixel launcher or FB Messenger, I'm using TruSight. Does anyone have the same issue?

    - Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
    - Copy GApps and crDroid zip to your internal SDCard
    - Boot into Recovery
    - Wipe system,data and cache
    - Flash crDroid zip
    - Flash GApps zip
    - DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
    - Reboot

Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
    - Copy crDroid ZIP to your internal SDCard
    - Boot into Recovery
    - Wipe system and cache
    - Flash crDroid zip
    - Flash Gapps
    - Reboot

Don't expect any support if you:
    - are not running stock crDroid-kernel
