So first off, big THANKS @Rooted_Ansh for making this available for our device!!
A very nice rom!
Only things im really missing is Wi-Fi Direct(grayed out) and thus Screen Mirroring cannt work...
2other small issues:
long-press actions on the back button wont kill forground app if set up in that way
and its weird that i can define the rows and columns of the extended-quick-settings but cannt change the quick-settings icon-count itself - so limited to 6 vs. [email protected]

..but mainly about the Wi-Fi Direct are there plans to add it? ....im wondering is this perhaps rather driver related ..so a question of upgrading to the latest Sony FW before falshing havoc??
In any case thanks for the great work youve done so far!!

..UPDATE:wfd service exists but need Location turned on (was new to me)...so now wf-direct connects, but when trying to cast wfd-service keeps crashing.

I tried it as described on page 11 first removed all apks then took the linked apk. Unfortunately it did not help.
Also the complete gapps package does not help.

Hello everyone, I'm very interested in trying this ROM to replace my stock Android 9.
Regarding the post in the first page "IMS: All the carrier specifc are disabled by default. Only basic mobile data will work."... can you explain better this limitation?

I don't use particular services from my carreer (let's say VoLTE, VoWiFi WiFi calling... none of these). I just need stable 4G/LTE signal, GPS and "classic" Wi-Fi. So what happens if I do not follow the steps for IMS?

Thanks

All these will work. Additionally, if you do enable IMS, you may get VoLTE to of it worked on stock.

Also to @Rooted_Ansh , is there a comprehensive list of limitations and bugs of the current release?
In the first post there is the "KNOWN ISSUES" section, but going down the thread I see some users having issues also with GPS, slow charging or battery charging only when power off, ...

I would like to know what issues I could encounter, being this my attempt to flash a custom ROM :)
Thanks
Those extra issue faced by users are device specific or hardware batch specific issue. The "known issues" are independent of those "specific" factors.

Other limitations have been mentioned I guess, such as no stock camera.

Hey Rooted_Ansh. The issue I wrote in post #217 is gone with 4.8 (via OTA). Security patch level is as it should be (2021/08/05) :D.

Gonna honor it again via paypal! Thank you so much for keeping this device alive!!!

Hi,

i did the OTA but now root (Magisk) is gone.
What is the right way to update?

Do i need to patch the HAVOC img again in the Magisk App and then "fastboot flash boot magisk_patched-22100_clLTx.img"?
Will i lose everything then?

Hi,

After download completed, before applying update, you can extract boot.img from the archive located at /data/havoc_updates/ and then patch it using magisk app.

After update and complete restart, I rebooted the device in recovery mode and (even if it is not recommended) I flashed patched boot.img.

Everything works fine.

Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact
Latest update broke my phone. I have pocket mode turned off and it still managed to freeze in the lock screen. I can turn on the screen but i cannot reboot or connect to my phone via adb.
Edit: after a long while it works again phew...

OS runs great. No issues so far except for ONE thing: It seems as if there's no Android Auto support. Any ideas?

I plug the phone in, and the phone itself seems to go into driving mode and shows the Android Auto is running notification, but my head unit gives me an error message saying AA couldn't start. I really tried all I could think of.

Anybody can confirm Android Auto is working on 4.6?

(So far 4.4 and 4.5 was broken - need to stay on 4.3 for the moment.)

Tested and 4.6 does not work for me with Android Auto. Phone detects the connection, icon is there for AA but no connection, car says no device detected.
Reverting back to 4.3. Will report 4.7 again :)
    4.8 not working either.

I have it on my harddisk. I upload it to my google drive
It´s uploaded. I´ll keep it online for the next 72 hours.

    IMS

All the carrier specifc are disabled by default. Only basic mobile data will work.

To enable carrier specific features, such as IMS, VoLTE, VoWiFi or WiFi calling,

    - Go to Settings > XperiaParts
    - Enable "IMS features". This will pick and update the modem based on your carrier
    - A reboot dialog should pop up, and reboot.

NOTE: Above will only work if it worked on stock too.

Here as some FAQs if you run into some issue.

    What is modem crashing ?
Sometimes, the modem flashed may not be right (mainly due to lack of carrier updates). Due to this, the modem keeps crashing and so it can't connect sim in service.

How to know if modem is crashing ?
Your SIM won't get in service at all, and your wifi will disconnect and reconnect frequently.

    What to do then ?
    You can do 2 things:

    - Switch to 3G and wait if it works
    OR
    - Go to Settings > XperiaParts
    - Turn off "IMS features". This will flash default modem which will provide basic mobile data and calling feature.

I have enabled IMS features, I have SIM connected, no modem crashing and yet IMS can't register. What to do ?
If the WiFi and SIM connectivity are stable but IMS can't be registered, it must be the APN issue. See if updating APN fixes it else contact me.

I didn't turn on "IMS features", but still I can't get my sim connected. What to do ?
Make sure to check if default modem is flashed.

    - Switch to 3G and wait.
    If it doesn't work then:
    - Go to Settings > XperiaParts > Status
    - If it says this "amss_fsg_lilac_tar.mbn" modem, then contact me
    - Else either reboot or turn on and turn off "IMS Features" or check your APN.
