AW: [ROM] Helly_Bean [4.2.1] [(almost) nightly builds] - N7000

cant understand, come from last alliance rom, i was getting status 7 error for the lastest HB build, i flashed philz 4.35, and status 7 gone, so flashed HB (doing all the 3 wipes), everything gone perfectly, but when i select the reboot system, it power off, power on, show SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE LOGO, and power off again....

and im in this if i try to power on again (i still can access recovery) someone have a clue? :S
Hi,

first flash latest cm10.1 kernel, then go to advanced - reboot recovery and then flash the rom as described in op.

Hope I could help.

Flash first the latest CM10.1 kernel, reboot Recovery, full wipe, flash Rom flash gapps and reboot the system.this is the easiest way to get the Rom on your note.

First of all to "Der Teufel": thanks a lot for the great rom.
I tested a lot off 4.2.1 roms. But this is the best. As many others said bevor:

- all works fine
- no fcs
- good batterylife
- smooth and stable

But what's best:
- all settings are working
- the profiles are working perfect

Until now your rom is reliable for daily use (even for work). Thanks.

Rennt wia da Teifi - as we Bavarians say. Surely OP will understand :)

One question: This is stock CM kernel or a modified one? I especially asking for BT-topics.

Looking forward to test it under live - conditions.

@scoute-dich
Did you use "Tablet UI" functionality? I think, you should "tick" this option as well, in order to get the proper tablet layout...hth
Hi,

I found the Problem. It's because I installed the xposed framework, to change lcd-density per APP. So it's not Rom related.

Some fullwidth punctuation marks cannot be shown...

such as fullwidth comma (,) , fullwidth exclamation mark (!) ,etc...
It can be fixed by replacing fallback_fonts.xml from the attached file. Copy to /system/etc/ and set permissions.

Anyway the rom is really good and clean. Thank you!!

If you described *exactly* how you did proceed to install HellyBean, you would get more and proper help.
Which ROM/kernel coming from
What did you install exactly: ROM, gapps version, other things, etc
All I can say is, WiFi works - out of the box.
This statement is only valid for the 17/02 version.
***
Edit: 21/02 version does break WiFi indeed. The new update must have slipped through...fault on my side..didn't cross-check...

Hi AA,

Coming from Chasmodos Asylum-Rom, doing what to do: wiping data/factory reset, flash the zip (once with 20121212 gaps, once without). nothing else.

Edit: I then also tried two other modems, but no change.

C'mon. Which nightly exactly? There has been a major update on kernel side (beside other major things) on 19/02 which made Wifi going wonkywonky.
I suspect you'll have to do a format/system command in recovery before flashing it.
Did you install a kernel as well?
