Tips

1. Getting Custom Per App DPI: Use Xposed Framework with the Per App Settings Module. This way if you are set to 213 or lower DPI, you can have your apps set at 320 DPI.
2. Eat waffles.
3. Backup from within ROM: Use OBackup (formerly Orange Backup).
4. Maximizing RAM: Install Greenify and freeze unused apps with Titanium Backup.
5. Kernel/Governor/Schedulers: I recommend the stock Kernel with pegasusq governor and row scheduler; that is my personal preference for balance between performance and extra battery savings.
6. Maximizing Performance: To truly maximize performance, flash @neobuddy89's NXKernel.

"Of course" it's not working. Samsung policy "protecting" their hardware and drivers for it (graphics, FM radio etc).
That's one reason why a lot of developers don't like to continue support for Samsung Exynos etc.

Sadly that is the one big disadvantage of CM/AOSP based Roms on our device - limited hardware support.

But to be honest: I do not see real butter on my TW Rom - the only butter stems from my fingers after breakfast.

Flashed last night, running great so far.
Why the three each-slightly-different ROMs? I found it pretty hard to figure out from the descriptions which one will suit me best, so I picked essentially at random.

BTW what's LMT and where do I find it?

LMT is a third party app that effectuates the Paranoid Android PIE feature as a module, as opposed to directly built into the framework. Its useful to have enabled when you turn on the hide status bar feature . it has a xda thread for more details.

What do you mean 3 ROMs? The 3 that I am building? They are all pretty different. At least I think they are.

Uh, the first post gave me the idea that something called LMT was in fact included in the ROM. Likewise for Robin. But I see no sign of them.

As for the 3 ROMs I'm sure they're quite different internally, but from a user's point of view there is little to indicate which one he/she might find preferable.

Anyway, it's rather refreshing after struggling with lag and overall poor performance in TW ROMs. I'm only missing the TV-out, I guess it just won't happen outside of Samsung-derived ROMs though.

Sounds like they updater script may not be functioning properly. I will look into it.

Yes the files are present in the zip at /data/app, but they don't seem to get installed.
Yeah that would be an updater script issue. I'll get that fixed. Thanks @drbobb for the heads up. See the above post to manually install those apps.
