It bootloops too. Why the kernel isn't fixed!!!!!!!!!!!player music stropped
AICP kernel is broken. Use the boot.img from latest RR rom or from latest unofficial Vanir rom and it will work. The first impression on AICP with Android 5.0.2 is quite, quite well. Really nice work.
But I also run into bootloops with AICP 9 nightlys on my Xperia Z1. Is there any workarond at the moment? Nevertheless I will be patient and wait because I like the AICP flair on my deviceThanks for the efforts so far.
Just flash the extracted boot.img after you have flashed the AICP rom.Would it be enough to flash just the kernel or should I flash the ROM after the kernel?
I installed the latest cm11 Slim kernel then did the full wipe and flashed the unofficial 5.1 rom of Omar and succeeded, no bug so far. Surprise !!!!Just flash the extracted boot.img after you have flashed the AICP rom.
What kernel you have installed before you flashed aicp is inconsequential because it will automatically be replaced when you flash the rom... Must be something magic in this caseI installed the latest cm11 Slim kernel then did the full wipe and flashed the unofficial 5.1 rom of Omar and succeeded, no bug so far. Surprise !!!!![]()
In my defence, after installing many roms, I could understand and imply that the previous rom or kernel does have an effect on the next one, that's why many developers suggest us to have a specific rom on the cellphone and then flash their rom. Of course, what you say is not wrong, but the very first roms are very sensitive and unstable that there should be a very sophisticated way as the way testers and developers try them. Thanks for idea. What kernel you have installed before you flashed aicp is inconsequential because it will automatically be replaced when you flash the rom... Must be something magic in this case![]()
for me its stable but i am using 5.1 slim gapps . I don´t think you should use 5.0 gapps.I performed a full wipe, flashed the 5.1 nightly (20150419), than flashed kernel from RR as suggested but found the ROM very unstable because there were several automatic reboots, at least every 10 Minutes. So at least, your suggestion is working to get the ROM without bootloops, @too.stoopid
So I waited for charging to reach 50% of battery charge and get back to AICP 8.0. The whole ROM is stable for now but I got some problems with google play musice. Its nothing I cant deal with, but from time to time the app will force reboots or is hanging.
Iam using PAGapps in version 5.0.1. Can anybody confirm this? Should I flash other Gapps?
Thanks for the answer.for me its stable but i am using 5.1 slim gapps . I don´t think you should use 5.0 gapps.
PA gapps won´t work either, use slim gappsThanks for the answer.
I think I didn't wrote exactly what I meant.
With AICP 5.1 I used the relating 5.1 Gapps from PA. With 5.0.2 im using the 5.0.x Gapps. But I think it would be an good idea to use Slimapps.
Do I have to flash the whole ROM? Or is it well to just perform a full wipe.
I don't have a honami but on my amami I had no problems at all with the combination of RR kernel and latest pa gapps.I performed a full wipe, flashed the 5.1 nightly (20150419), than flashed kernel from RR as suggested but found the ROM very unstable because there were several automatic reboots, at least every 10 Minutes.
