PRESENTATION:
The whole goal of this ROM was to release an "unleashed" ROM for our HTC Desire V phone, while we maintain the Sense 4 in place. Here is the result: a new ROM "WITHOUT BRAKES".
The author of this ROM is vitamerlan from 4pda.ru
WARNING:
Whatever you do with your phone, you do that entirely on your own risk and you have full responsibility for the consequences. The author can't be responsible for any damages of your phone!
Read carefully! INSTALLATION:! Read carefully!
1) DO a backup of the current firmware!
2) DO a backup of your userdata !!!
3) Download the firmware itself and boot.img (you can extract the boot.img from the downloaded archive)
4) Copy the firmware file to sdcard.
5) IMPORTANT, now in the command line FLASH THE BOOT.IMG! This step is required before flashing any firmware, because otherwise you won't be able to use BT, WiFi or Data.
****5.1 Download file from links posted below
****5.2 Create a folder on the C drive and name it "Android"
****5.3 Unzip the downloaded archive contents to this folder
****5.4 Restart the phone in Fastboot mode and connect it to computer.
****5.5 In Windows menu, click Start/run/cmd and "enter" and open a command line window.
****5.6 Type in command line:
****5.7 Close that window , disconnect the phone, go to recovery
6) WARNING! All data will be deleted! I hope you did not forget about backup?! If you did - it's too late now! Boot in CWM - recovery and as usual select install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard to start the process of firmware installation. You don't have to wipe anything, but you can do it.
7) Reboot the phone. Don't wipe anything now!
8) IMPORTANT! The first boot is long, the system is optimizing for the new boot.img (the core of the any firmware). During the boot the screen will blink several times - this is normal. When you will see the lock screen (somewhere around four minutes), don't rush! You have to wait another five minutes, to see the "real brake" interface.
9) After the pre-set the phone will RESTART by itself.
10) Now everything is set-up and in place. Enjoy your new ROM. But remember! From now on, when you restart the phone, it will need a little longer time to initialize.
Attention! It is recommendable to install and configure all of the applications "from scratch".
If all of sudden after the installation or the first use, you do a phone resets to factory settings (wipe data/factory reset), then flash the ROM again. Otherwise it will be an error starting the Rosie (icon customizer). So far, for that there is no solution.
WHAT'S NEW
The firmware includes all the latest improvements, changes, patches and theme decorations - improved quality of the picture and the camera Sense 5, patch battery improvement, improved GPS, new skins, OG mod ... and much more.
By double-clicking on the battery icon in the status bar you can change the battery appearence.
Also there are included many usefull apps. All apps have been very carefull selected for low battery use.
