Hi, very interested in making this my first customised ROM for my brand new, newly hacked and rooted Sensation! I have a couple of questions:

1. Regarding the Hosts file, am I safe to delete everything in it bar '127.0.0.1 localhost', save the zip and then flash as normal (presumably with verification off as it would probably now fail the checksum)? The reason is that many video streaming sites I use, like 4OD, depend on having video adverts load, or else they won't finish and you won't be able to watch the video you want. I've seen this before when using Roms which included Adfree, but because they included the full app I was able to go in and revert the hosts file. Here, it seems to be missing from the zip.

2. Am I okay to flash the battery with percentages mod found in your Sensation XE thread? Or will it not work on this Rom? Is it because it isn't deodexed?

1. I'll try and get a ZIP for the stock hosts - it's currently in the /system/etc folder (where it always is)
2. No, you'll need to make a new one as the XE is based on 2.3.4 - this is 2.3.5

EDIT: ZIP file attached but it is NOT a flashable ZIP. You'll need to take the hosts and push it to your ROM

Eddy, how does this rom feel on your device compared with stock 2.3.4 sense 3.0? Faster, smoother, the same, worse?
Is there the facebook problem mentioned on custom version threads or is that just due to an ommission by the developer?
Comments on your experience (or anybody else's) would be appreciated before i take the plunge.

Quicker IMO than 2.3.4, only Facebook issue I have is most of the contact pics don't sync

Completely clean installed including memory card format.
Best rom so far. Smooth, fast, all my facebook contacts synced fine!
Best of all (my main gripe with htc sensation roms) my widgets now schroll very smooth and fast!

My camera is very good, the only glitch that i've found so far is that the larger of the two htc locations widgets does not display properly.
Regarding the facebook contacts, i have found that formatting the memory card before installing a rom solves many problems that people have encountered in many other roms i have tried. I'ts an absolute pain i know. I think i used to have a life before i aquired my desire !!

I'll try that this evening when I'm home (work WiFi is terrible to restore from!!)

I think the camera glitches mentioned were due to baadnewz tweaking a few things apparently so it should be OK
