don't get impatient. we have to thank wojtasxda for his wonderfull working rom 1.00 and for pimping the Ascend W1 to this state. If in the upcoming version 1.10 the sdcard-bug is fixed, this would be so great! Maybe in the future we can also copy maps on the sdcard.

I asked why it was announced a few days and there will not any more clarification.

I can't install the ROM with my PC (W8.1 Pro 64Bit).
After clicking click "Scan && Download", my PC doesn't detect my Huawei.

Do i miss someting? Do I need to connect the two contact points like with QPST?

Or doesn't it work with 64bit windows?

You need install Windows 7, Use Qemu or Vmware. Drivers from package with QPST doesnt works in W8.

If your phone is in the mode that allows you to change the rom, run phone holding vol- and camera and run WP8CRUU

Thanks for the work! Until now the Rom 1.1 is working perfectly. This has to be donated! Now, the one and only real problem (sdcard) is solved. Does anybody see a possibility to save HERE Drive maps on sdcard? I just can save the maps of my home country and the the internal flash is full.

Everything greater ~300 will give you Interop Unlock, so exact number doesn't matter.

i know i used to ask this,

but i gonna try to ask again,

is it possible to port this rom for W1-C00 as well? or at least maybe you can create a universal SD Card fixer for W1 ?

i think my company would be very happy to donate if we ever manage to get the fixer for sd card issue, since this issue pretty much clogging up the selling of this phone. We cant let customer update to 8.1.1 since it too risky, but then 8.0 features were simply outdated in market ot there...

thanks for the infomation. but this doesn't work for me. In the store the app isn't recognized. Everytime i want to install it manually i got the notification that it is not supported for this device.
Has anybody an idea to install it another way?

Can't flash the rom

I tried it on a Windows 7 system (32bit) and even there I can't flash the first step.
I keep getting the same error: Firmware (HandShake Fail). See attached file.
I installed the Qualcomm drivers found inside QPST (qcom usb driver(one key to setup).
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to connect two point on the phone (like someone said in another tread) to make it work?
I'm lost

I think there is some info missing in the toturial?

a) Download ROM and Flash tool (no QCom drivers?)

b) Run "HWDiagnosticApp (##2846579#) ", turn on "Diag settings" and reset phone.

x) Install drivers?

x) connect two pinns on the device?

c) Run Flash Tool , select ROM file / Config XML and click "Scan && Download".

d) Now your phone should reset and start in download mode.
If your phone does not want to start the download mode, use QPST
e) When phone displays 100%, and the inscription OK. The process of flashing rom is complete. Now you need Reset the phone (press power button on 15 sec or remove battery). Flash tool displays information about the bad file FFU, just ignore it .

Can anyone who successful flash his device post a step by step manual please?
I need this ROM and I would love to donate if it works!

This process can be done in windows 8.1.
It work in my phone.

I finally managed to make it work. Thanks!
But now the phone is stuck on airplane mode. Also my SIM card isn't recognized .
Also a hard reset doesn't solve it.

Is there a way to reflash it easy (step 2) with an older WP8.0 Rom?
