I can't help you with the S-pen stuff since I just got my GN2 to replace my nexus today. But I can help you with the wifi thing. Go to your wifi settings, then advanced settings and disable always search. In 4.3 google can scan wifi even with your wifi off if the option is marked.

I'm defiantly curious about the S-Pen stuff though since I plan on sticking with 4.3 since that's what I had on my nexus.

That was it on the wifi THANKS!

I haven't heard anything on the S-Pen yet. I heard that Papryus was good a while back...I will try it tonight to see how it is.

No problem man!

The only app for the S-Pen that I know of is GMD SPen Control ★ root from the playstore. I have his original gesture control app for my tablet and it works great so maybe give that a look! I I plan to test it out tonight.

Battery

I KNOW I KNOW...the dreaded 'battery life sucks' post.

I know it's SO subjective. All I want is great battery life. I will try any ROM if it has awesome battery life and stable.

I LOVE LOVE 4.3, and the Illusion ROM. It's the first non TW ROM I have tried.

The one thing that is bugging me is the battery life.
Off Charger for 8hours, 1:34 hours Screen time, I am at 39%

Kernel is taking 18.4% and Android System is taking 14.7%

Not sure but I think you have an issue. I just got my GN2 yesterday so not really sure what to expect as far as battery life but I'm getting good battery life I think.

Not sure but maybe try a full wipe. That's what I did before before I installed this ROM.

Is there no options for touchkey light duration or am I just missing it? I disabled my keys and would like to shut off the lights or just set the duration to 0 but can't find any setting for this... Any ideas?

hello all,
I am currently on [Rom] Jelly'Beans' - Build 22 [09/26/13][Aroma][Fully Customizable][I605VRAMC3] for my VZW Galaxy Note 2. Anyone come from this rom and have any issues or can report if they liked the move?

Also, did anyone upgrade to 4.3 on Note 2 and then buy a Galaxy Gear and using it?

Thanks for any replies.

Best decision ever! Really. It is so fast and smooth. If you are not a heavy spen user go for it. If so, well you will have to see if any of the AOSP TW Spen alternatives works.

Augh yes, did not think about the Spen not working. I am not a big user of it does that mean it becomes useless after installing this ROM? Thanks for your reply.

Yes, it works as a stylus just fine.

You can get apps to help out with the S-Pen on AOSP. The one's i've used in the past are:

1a. GMS SPen Control: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.spencontrol
- Allows for gestures and settings things to launch when S-pen is removed

or

1b: Note Buddy: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tushar.spen_helper&hl=en
- Haven't used this myself, but looks similar to Spen Control

2. SPen Board Switcher: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46236231
- Lets you change keyboards when the spen is removed

3. CM Spen Addon: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tushar.cmspen&hl=en
- Detector service to help with s-pen removal

4. 7notes with Mazec: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sevenknowledge.sevennotestrial&hl=en
- Adds another keyboard which does very good handwriting recognition

Hope that helps.

Has anyone had issues with the phone taking a really long time to wake up when you press the home button or power button?

Sometimes it takes 30 seconds to a minute. Is there a setting that I am missing that is causing this?

Thank you

Hey I am a crackflasher..

I have been on a few new ones as of late. Carbon for about a year (Google account sync was showing errors for a long time and my swift key was not syncing) pacman was awesome except it was on nightlies and a memory hog.Same sync issues as well. Paranoid Android for a bit.. sync issues had issues with the dpi per app and sync issues.
This ROM Illusion is awesome. More than Slim with the black theming. Per app dpi that works. The sync is the broken part again. What could I be doing wrong? I wiped, reformatted, scrubbed everything before I installed this thing. Still having sync issues... deleted my account then re signed in.It is good for now.

Is there a way to stop the lock screen slacker music app widget from appearing. Or for any music app for that matter? I hate the lock screen widget when there is a notification controls as well....

There is a white bar that is visible sometimes below the notification bar... what is causing this?

Any recommendations for overclocking kernels, I need moar speed! :)

TIA
Scott

Hello every one great news I have successfully uploaded the the latest version of Illusion Rom.Check my blogspot. Please do a full wipe .Awaiting for your feedbacks

Always follow the OP through and through.

If things are acting weird, or you have things going on and don't see too many people reporting it.

    Redownload rom and gapps
    Wipe data factory reset
    Wipe dalvik and cache
Format System (upon flashing rom it will do this automatically)
Then flash rom and gapps then reboot system. (boot the rom and then go back and flash your kernel of choice, if that's what you choose to do).

Also if having issues, boot into safe mode and see if issues still persist. Boot into safe mode by hold power button and long press on reboot. This will boot you into no 3rd party apps mode, basically. To get out of it, just reboot normally

To enable Developer Options, go to; settings|about phone|tap build number 7/8 times
to enable reboot options,(recovery, download) enable advanced reboot in Developer options
Dual Panel mode will cause some weirdness in settings. Turn them of to set everything up and forget about it after.
All the tabletui settings work but nav colors reset after reboot
If you have the "tick" while playing music then disable "Screen lock sound" & "Touch sounds". Temporary work around for now
No PhotosPhere in this rom still...might get added but depends on stability and CyanogenMod

You must flash Gapps everytime you install the rom as it wipes system every time. Use the gapps in the original post, if you use other Gapps keep those errors to your self and adress the person that made those Gapps.

Facebook acts up and is weird?? Stop using the app.
Update system apps before saying things are broken. (Google Now)
If you decide to run a 3rd party kernel, take your issues about; speed, battery, and reboots to that thread, we cant change their kernel to make it better for you, they can. Thanks.
You will not have a 4g icon, it is an H+ when data is being retreived, when idle it is a 3g icon.

This is a work in progress, I'll update it as needed

    FAQ PART

    What base is this?
It is based off SlimRoms, with a lot of changes... It is it's own rom now

Which MMS app is built in?
A custom one, it has Themeable MMS and Popup. look in screenshots for my goofy face and pictures.

    How to activate pie control?
settings>piecontrols>activate toggle. The trigger is at the bottom, slide your finger up slowly, and it will come up.

    Where are the Touchwiz features?
    In a Touchwiz rom.

How do I take a screenshot?
Volume down & power, OR... settings>powermenu>enable the screenshot.

Does this rom have Tablet mode and such things?
No, and there are no plans for adding it as of now.
    6
Having tested the initial build, I've found no bugs at all. This is the most solid beta I've found.

    Edit:
A few things that might help a future build. ES file explorer really helps for installing apks we might have on sd card as well as moving files that the default file manager seriously lacks. There is no reboot to recovery option under the reboot tab. Beyond that, amazing first build.

Go into developer options and enable advanced reboot menu.
