The kernel built into the rom no shift or agni is necessary
Hmm. Then I have no idea why my 605 note 2 won't work correctly. I wiped everything in TWRP, installed clean from this ROM, and upon reboot it pretty much works, except for the issues I posted. Weird. I guess I'm just gonna have to hold off on lollipop until I get my Note 4 next month. :(

I really love the clean look of lollipop too. Damn it.

So there's still the SMS/MMS twitch from the other CM12 builds, huh? Send a text message, it goes through; try to send a second and it hangs. enable airplane mode, then turn it off, and the next text goes through.

Anyone have any idea if there's a fix for this?

I also assume, though I didn't test it before I flashed back, that audio is hit or miss with video playback. On two other 5.0.2 CM based roms I tested, while watching a video with MX Player, audio would just stop working. No toggling or tweaking seemed to bring it back without a cache clear and reboot.

If I could get these two features consistently working, I'd LOVE to use 5.0.2 on my phone; it's wicked fast compared to KK. especially compared to TW, which is utter garbage, as we all know. :D
I had this exact issue with i605 for texting. Unfortunately it involved flashing back to a stock(ish) build. There is a post in this forum about the issue. If I can get on a PC later to look I'll link it. It fixed texting for me.

EDIT: This is what I had to do to fix it.

This is a regional issue and depends on where you live. I live in central Pa so I am one of the ones effected by this issue and have to flash "wip" rom when coming from Touchwiz and going to AOSP. As long as you stay on an AOSP rom you only have to do this once, but of you flash back to touchwiz, you will have to repeat the "wip rom" flash again to go back to AOSP.
I have pretty much stopped testing touchwiz rom builds just because of this. It has to really be something different for me to flash back to a touchwiz rom. Although it isn't really that big a deal when you think about it.

It pains me greatly to have to recind what I said a few days ago about no problems. For whatever reason, music has a great deal of difficulty playing when a headset is plugged in. This isn't the first time I had this issue with an AOSP rom...

You have to turn off "Ok" google detection in Google Now and reboot. This should fix the issue when music is playing and the screen goes off it stops playing music. Assuming this is what you're talking about.

I'm also having this issue. I can send one text, then no more. I'll give this fix a try.

Also, I get the 'No service' indication on the lock screen. I live in the Washington DC area.

Otherwise, this ROM rocks. Blindingly fast, super stable so far. Lollipop colors are terrible for AMOLED screens, but hopefully some theming will fix that issue.

Ok, this is weird. I expected to need a driver update, every major release of Android has necessitated it. But when I plug the phone into the PC, charging begins but the USB connection does not establish. Nothing at all in Device Manager, it's as though the phone does not exist. Also, when I click on USB Connection in Storage, it changes from SD Card to Local, but never actually starts the USB connection. A bug, perhaps?

Washington DC is one of the other areas that is experiencing this issue. It is a regional thing though. It sucks for us that we live in these isolated areas.
Let me know how it turns out.

The WIP fix for the texting issue worked a treat. All seems well now.

Still hating on the amount of white screen L brings to the mix.

No joy with the USB PC connection, either. There has to be a CM12 driver out there somewhere, 'cause I'm guessing Samsung sure is not going to give us one anytime soon.

I am using this theme

There are many themes out there that fixes that whole white issue. Not sure what you mean about USB issues. I'm connectiing to PC just fine and am using my USB OTG SD card reader and all is working.

I installed the Materal Glass theme, and it helped, but it did not theme all the Google Apps, such as Calendar.

My GN2 does not show up in the Device Manager at all. It charges, but Windows does not see it. I have reinstalled the Samsung drivers, no change.

Oddly, when I go to Settings->Storage and click on the ellipses (hamburger button), the 'USB computer connection' button does nothing. It should bring up the MTP, PTP or Charging Only options, but nothing happens (other than a refresh of the storage stats). Is anyone else having this issue?

Bug?

This seems like a bug. I mentioned this in my earlier post, but there is no way to choose 'MTP' or 'PTP' or 'Charge Only' in Settings->Storage. The 'USB computer connection' button does nothing.

I've tried connecting the phone to three different PCs, used multiple cables (all of which I know for certain work), and the phone is just not being seen by any of them.

Stock kernel, clean flash, TWRP 2.8.5, MD5's verified.

I noticed today after installing Xposed and 3 modules, Amplify, YouTube ad free and Grivitybox my battery consumption took a noise dive too. I'm going to have to dig into this a little more to see if that is what caused it. I really don't need to run Xposed anyways.
