quick unlock works

So does CM11 have Quick Unlock for passwords? I've seen some ROMs that only support "Pin" Quick Unlock, but I need it for "Password."
If it's the default setting or baked in, that would be perfectly fine as well. I Swype a fairly long password and it's annoying to have to hit enter afterwards. On Carbon Rom right now but wanted to give CM11 a shot before I make it permanent.
@nick19268 Yes, it is in the settings and it works

I'll get the branches made for the other devices and push sensors and what not. Problem I have now is radio not working, everything else seems pretty good
In case anybody in this thread missed it, sbrissen now has an unofficial cm12 release for the note 2, oh joy. It's in the upstream, Verizon Galaxy Note II Original Android Development category.

And it is off to a great start. Just remember that with any new build, there are going to be bugs. I will say this though, lollypop on this phone is really smooth.

Totally agreed! I'm amazed that it's so good! It's not even 3 days old yet. The dev's have outdone themselves. The only problems that keep me from switching over to it for good are the lack of GPS and MMS. And I expect sbrissen will have those bugs worked out in short order!

MMS works great on cm12. Not sure why not for you.

Hmm, yeah, I don't know either. Maybe the SMS client I'm using, GO SMS...? It's not a big deal for me. GPS is the thing I'll be really excited to see working!
I just tried hangouts to a couple of people and it worked...I normally use GOSMS though. I uninstalled back to CM11 just like you....GPS is a show stopper for me.

So, you could use GOSMS to send pictures and whatnot? Weird. Just doesn't like me, I guess :) Looking forward to sbrissen's next release!

I used the Verizon messages app and have no issues with that but i have to flash the 4.4.2. touchwiz Whip build first and then flash CM11 or CM12. That's the only way i can send any kind of messages. But it's worth it for both roms. I would like to see the theme picker put in CM12 eventually. To me, that's all that's missing. Man is it smooth.....

Some weird old bugs

Hey, I know 12 is starting to roll out, but I wanted to know if anyone else was having the same issues as I am. Obviously, I'm using the Verizon Note 2, and using the most recent nightly. I KNOW REPORTING BUGS ON NIGHTLYS IS WORSE THAN SUPER-CANCER, BUT HEAR ME OUT. So I've tried using nightlies (nightlys?), the snapshots, every cm11 build I could but I'm getting the same problems on all of them. This has been occurring since the first cm11 nightly I installed (one of the first available, a couple months ago.)

1) Using snapchat, if I record video, it only lets me record about 2-3 seconds, then cuts me off. Didn't have this issue on 10.2, and I don't have it on my stock rooted ROM. I even just did a full wipe, installed another rom, used it for a week, full wipe again, back to cm11 clean and same thing happens. Just looking for confirmation this isn't just me.

2) At no signal my screen attempts to refresh itself somehow. This only occurs when my signal is so low I have no 1x/3g/4g. Every 15-20 seconds the screen will reset itself somehow, and sometimes close what I had open. If the keyboard is up, it minimizes. If I have a snapchat picture, it disappears. If I am at the home screen, all the icons disappear for a split second then reload (like when the phone is first booted.) If I turn on airplane mode, or turn off mobile data, this stops. I have tried flashing other radios, it doesn't help at all.

If anyone has fixes for either of these problems please let me know, they're pretty damn frustrating to me!

I'm having trouble with my proximity sensor, always have. Is there something I can flash to disable that feature. I just want to be able to turn the screen off and on with my power button. There is an option for it on other ROMs but don't see it on this one. In the past I have been able to use compressed air to get dust away from the sensor and then it works fine for a couple days. That doesn't seem to work anymore. Best option for my phone is to be able to disable that proximity function and just manually turn the screen off and on when I place it next to my ear.

mine acts the same way at times, especially when I tried CM12. Going through screens when I hold it to my ear, annoying as hell

And CM12 is now official. There are regular nightlies. You still need to flash the GPS fix, but other than that, everything seems to be working pretty well.
