Flashing this now. Had the 11/08 version running on my phone and noticed the same bugs

- Audio playback glitches when screen is turned on and off
- Proximity sensor doesn't work
- Camera doesn't work if you do a clean flash as opposed to flashing over 10.2
- Signal bars are holo blue (Should they be?) instead of white
- Radio doesn't work if you restore a CM11 backup or flash via something becides CWM 6.0.4.3
- Long press home button doesn't bring up recent applications
- Odd memory management issues - Apps get killed WAY quicker than on 10.2.

But with that said, it's all looking pretty awesome. The fact that it's this functional and a PRE-NIGHTLY is unbelievable in the first place. I remember running CM7 in all sorts of broken stages on my EVO 4G with broken stuff such as GPS, camera, bluetooth, wifi, data, proximity sensor, automatic brightness adjustment... Man, if you can name it, it was broken on those first nightlies. And here we are, a "first try" basically and it's almost perfect. The CM team never ceases to amaze me. Keep being awesome, guys!

This ROM is surprisingly good on battery life. Only lost 8 percent over the last 7.5 hours. Only 30 min screen time but wonderful standby

A temp fix for the audio issue is to turn off screen lock sounds. For the camera it crashes on initial launch but then it works (at least for me, and that's what OP says also). My signal bars are white, maybe has to do with dirty falshing? For recents I use nova double tap to open recents(nova beta was update with some of the KitKat launcher features). I agree great to have a functional 4.4 ROM on this phone. If it were up to Samsung wed be sitting on 4.1 still

Thanks for this! Where can or if even is twp able to flash 4.4 yet? You have a zip installer by any chance if it is updated. I have seen people talk about it but their website does not show the new one (2.6.3.1 I believe?)
According to the official TWRP page 2.6.3.0 is the latest version. No idea on when TWRP will be able to flash 4.4 at this point.

Great to see such a functional build so early! I need a stable device throughout the week, but this weekend (or earlier, if I'm feeling adventurous) I'll be trying out this rom for sure!

Honestly this build has yet to have any issues for me? WiFi runs a bit slow but this thing is solid

Just clean flashed from AOKP and everything seems to be running smooth. Camera bug was fixed after opening it the first time and having it reboot. No holo colored signal bars either.

One question... Is there a way to change the quick setting tiles in the notification bar? Or is this something that will be added later. I don't know if it is part of 4.4 or not.

I assume it will be added later. This looks like bone stock kit kat. No mods yet

I finally took the plunge and it's running great! Very solid for such an early build. I'm looking forward to seeing other features merged into this rom (especially the ability to turn off the softkey backlights, I've gotten so used to not having them on in other roms), but what's currently here is nice! Thumbs up to all the devs responsible for this rom!

One question: How do you see your recent apps? Long-pressing the home button doesn't perform the expected function.

Havent found a way yet...You can go and type in qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 in the build.prop

So would I be correct in saying that as long as we're using the gapps from OP ART should works? Trying to save myself a barrage of FC's. Setting up now. If yes anyone notice any major improvement?

No - ART requires odexed version of gapps, there was a link in the earlier thread which either got killed or just didn't get moved here
