I tried the deodexed rom. Dang was is slow! Don't know why. I wiped, and several times. Guess I'll try the odex but the I can't just be lazy and flash mods

Or install a custom ROM? Why use this when the same Dev who put this out has a fantastic custom ROM...

I used this one till 18 came out and battery life on this stock ROM with the mods is far better than 17 or 18s

So, theory time, would flashing this, using Odin to flash stock recovery, then using SuperSU's built in unroot method, would that return to stock, enable OTAs, etc...?
Pretty sure this ROM will allow OTAs and I assume it would

Why would you want to attempt accepting a VZW OTA when this is the current OTA with root? If you are already unlocked, just leave it alone. Majority of the people that are trying to go back to stock for VZW OTAs end up screwing things up.
If you had SDM, or whatever the VZW updater file is called, active and tried to install a VZW OTA, you would end up with at least a soft brick.
Right. Due to the custom recovery on his phone that allowed him to flash custom roms in the first place. Bean's stock roms don't restore the stock recovery software.

In the near past to return to pure stock you could flash either the alternate restore or root66 and then let the OTA run. Now I'm not sure but if you search "return to stock" in the Verizon Note 2 Q&A section you can find threads that discuss and may guide you in the matter.

Yes, I am familiar with the search feature and I have been in that forum and asked questions. Thanks for the suggestion. There seems to be some confusion if that still works with phones that came with or were rooted after the latest ota. That is where my situation lies. Thanks again

So.. I'm new to the Samsungs. I've been used to my XT912 and having safestrap and fastboot files ect. I've got a friends note 2 that i rooted back when on L4 update. She gets constant update notifications and i couldn't find a working way to go back to rooted stock so i downloaded this deodex'd ROM and the Radio. I didn't unlock her bootloader previously or flash any customer recovery imgs. Just root. I booted into stock recovery and flashed this zip, rebooted but its exactly the same. What'd i do wrong? This rom would put me where i want the device to be, but idk what i did wrong. I'm not a noob to flashing in general.. just on the Note 2. Any recommendations would be great.
U need to unlock the bootloader and that can be done by using Adam outlers casual tool kit to unlock it

This isn't a "how-to-root" thread, fellas - with all due respect. Consider this a development thread with a ROM featuring zero customizations. It's for those who like 'unlock, but stock'
Patenting that. But in all seriousness, those questions would be better answered in the stickied root/unlock threads.

Does this have selectable options like jellybeans. I understand it is a stock ROM but if I flash this I want the exposed installer and app setting so I can use the uiswitcher mod. I'm currently using the mod of jellybeans ROM but when switched to tablet mode my network up and DL flasher icons don't work correctly in the status so I'm thinking of going to this seems how the mod was built off of it anyways. Will I need to wipe front to back or just just a little so I don't have to start all over and will xposed installer and app settings be in here? Thanks any info is appreciated.
Search the thread for the all mods zip v4 its somewhere in here with a list of the mods that is in the zip I use this build on my note2 with the mods not sure though if what your looking is in it

Not sure if it has the xposed stuff but if u look in beans build 18 thread with in the last couple pages I seen someone post something about multi window zip with floating window and a mod to change DPI it should be in the last couple pages of beans jellybeans build

That's what I'm currently using all is good except my network blinkers. When in tablet mode. I'm gonna try beans stock build and restore my xposed via titanium and see if that will work. Will report bavk
