For your phone, first upgrade the firmware through ODIN, then flash a 4.3 TW rom through custom recovery.

For your fiance, if her's comes with 4.3, you can only root. You cannot go back to 4.1.2 without a brick. No unlocked bootloader as of now, so no rom flashing. I've read a few unconfirmed posts about being able to go back, but the overall concept is to accept 4.3 if you already have it.

OK thanks for the help.

It's terrible there are no new(er) unlocked phones out there on Verizon right now. Pretty disappointing. I know the s4 and note 3 have safestrap but I've never had great experiences with it so that puts me off a lot.

Well.....

Yep, it was nice.

Noted
Well found the first chink in the armor, my Suntrust mobile bank app is very very slow or wont display after login. I tried it on my SGS3 to make sure it was the ROM vs the service of the app. the SGS3 with Andriod 4.3 stock runs it fine..... Oh well

I guess there is no STOCK, Rooted MJ9 for the Notes 2 on Verizon.

There are some that are pretty close to stock, have you given them a whirl?

FYI, Beans posted this on twitter. Not sure if or how this will affect this ROM series.

Guess who just joined the Alliance Dev Team :D

I highly recommend sophisticated, or meanbean. Two most solid fully stock builds. If you want crazy features that are still damn stable, Alliance or nebula.

I don't seem to have "ro.tima" in my build.prop ....I haven't had any reboots though? Could not having "ro.tima" in my build.prop be why?
=========
Edit: found it, ro.config.tima , changed it even if I wasn't getting reboots...lol

Since there are plenty of roms with these things fixed, why would you guys stay on this? You're asking for issues...

Yeah as far as I know this rom was supplied as is. And isn't really getting updates. It's just "stock" 4.3 touchwiz. If you want updates or features use a 4.3 TW rom that thanks beanstown cause it will use these files.

im not sure what im doing wrong, but im getting no signal. I went back to stock 4.1.2. casualed the root, flashed the firrmware, instaalled stock mj9 kernel, and installed the rom. Im getting no signal, my buddy who has a note 2 told me to flash the radio, which i tried, but it changed nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you flash radios using Odin or from recovery? They must be flashed through Odin.

You can find the link for Odin on the How to Root sticky. You will need to install it on your computer and the flash the firmware package through it. Flash the rom as usual.
i dont see a link to modems in that thread. i see firmware, all the root files, casual, root66, the pit file, all the stock builds for the 3 different versions, etc. but no firmware. theres a cwm radio thread, but that obviously wont work. can you point a blind person to the odin version of the radio?
