Is tether unlocked?

Sent from my SCH-I605 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
After trying a few different methods the only way I could get wifi tethering working was by installing the Xposed framework and using the X Tether (Moto Tether) Xposed module.

I believe this only applies to these stock ROMs as most other custom ROMs have the tether fix already integrated, and Xposed might cause problems on custom ROMs from what I've read.

Huge thanks bro, this was driving me nuts... Nothing else worked except this!

Just wanted to help out... I searched and found the apk here:

I installed the Odex version tonight, and I must say, it's running faster than Beans 25 was for me. Granted, that might not be true for the months and months I was on it; the crippling lag I was experiencing on it just started in the last few weeks. I figured, if I have to factory reset, might as well try something new.

The only thing I'm a bit sad about is the lack of Air Command (seriously, it makes the S-Pen so much more useful), which I enjoyed during my brief time on the Ditto Note 3 ROM.

Anyway, I followed the directions, and I had/have absolutely no issues, wifi or otherwise. We have ourselves a rock solid ROM here, folks.

Last, but certainly not least, THANK YOU to the developers that made this happen. I'm very grateful to you all.

I seem to be having a problem with the OS baked in VPN, it keeps cutting out after 2 minutes of usage. I recently started using the VPN feature, since october and didn't think to write in. It has been doing this since october. Any Ideas?

So I guess the June 19th build is the latest one still? The latest stock build? And why is TWRP still not able to flash this on the latest recovery version without seriously screwing up the OS? I just don't get it. Hate using PhilZ or CWM. They install so much crap onto my sdcard and are just in general ugly and antiquated.

The de-bloated ROM works pretty good for me. I had one random freeze and one random soft restart in my first 2 weeks of using this ROM which isn't bad at all considering. Thanks for making it and I can't wait for Lollipop!

Hello all,

I was using this ROM for a few months. And, with the exception of the rare FC from an app, it proved pretty solid. However, I was getting bored with it and liked the look and features of Lollipop, so I tried a few L ROMs. They proved buggy, which doesn't bother me by itself...until it interferes with my music. Then I care. All the L ROMs around here have at least one bug which interfered with my music one way or another, so I'm back here for now...

But, that's not what I came here to talk about.

I have been doing some reading, and I'm very confused about a couple of things....

-Since I'm bored with this ROM, I thought a new theme would jazz it up for me and make it feel new again. I went in to my research thinking that a KK theme is a KK theme is a KK theme. Apparently, that isn't the case. There's a lot of discussions about how X theme works great on Y ROM but will break Z ROM...so, can anyone recommend a good theme or themes that they know work on this specific ROM?

-One thing I always loved about the CM ROMs is the ability to skip music tracks when the phone is locked by long-pressing the volume button. I have not found out how to do that on this ROM. Is it possible? If so, how can I do that?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

I think I am coming back to this rom. I am using the alliance one as was recommended, but while it is mostly stable it is still too slow and unresponsive for my tastes. Also, it has some unnecessary Samsung bloat apps in it, which I don't get because I think it is the same author of this rom who eliminated bloat.

My question: is there a good place to get all the S5 apps so I can flash them in to this rom so I can have the best of both worlds?

You can't get them all, but you can extract them from the alliance apk and have most, i have s translate which was either missing or broken.

If you did a dirty flash i would expect the rom to be slow, however it may have just needed time to settle in.
