BEWARE:
- Cyril's cm-kernel does NOT currently include the FPbug-fix recently added to CM kernel source.

The kernel that I'm linking to only includes CM commits up through may 2015. I just noticed that CM more recently included the FPbug fix into their source (thanks LA), and my CM kernel does NOT include that (I wasn't paying attention when I switched to the CM kernel source from OMNI). : embarrased :
I'll update and build another within the week.

- Kernel source -
...sounds great @cyril279, would an odin flashable file of your newer build be possible ?

Regarding the call-bug @Lysergic Acid, I'd ship you an i777 if you were in the states, but I fear that international shipping makes it cheaper to buy you one than ship one... Are there any particular logs that could help to identify the issue?

-Cyril
I would need to buy an i777 from ebay as the device only exists in the US, then ship it to my country, but my country is recently trying to block importations (too much taxes to pay on imported products, plus the dollar price increase, it's worth three times more than our money, people bought GTA V for only $20 at launch in Brazil and shipped it to the US, lol)
There was a log of this issue, and honestly I lost it. You can send me anything you think it's important.

Some of you may have already realized that I linked you to a bad kernel (Cyril hangs head in shame). The easiest way to get out of the death spiral that I brought to your i777:

Tested method (because it happened to mine this morning while looking into snipe's experience):
This will not wipe /data, it simply gets you back to a working kernel of your choice.
  1. Download .tar of SiyahKernel S2-v6.0beta5 ( http://www.gokhanmoral.com/ )
  2. Odin the .tar file onto the device
  3. reboot to recovery (will be Siyah CWM)
  4. ADB the kernel of choice onto the device (if not already in storage)
  5. flash the kernel of choice from storage
  6. reboot recovery
  7. Do whatever you originally intended to do from recovery

lessons learned:
  1. ALWAYS test before uploading
  2. keep my wiley suggestions out of LA's thread

My apologies to all affected.

Sorry to bother you, thanks for alI you do on XDA!!!! I flashed the CM 12.1 was having issues with it freezing and restarting so I reflashed it with your kernel that you linked in that thread, it booted to the sign in screen then restarted in a boot loop like before. I then booted recovery to restore my backup but it doesn't find my sdcard, can't sideload anything either using that version of TWRP. When I go to use sideload adb won't find my device but when I'm just sitting in the main screen of TWRP adb list my device. Is there anything you know that can help me get your other kernel flashed so I can restore my back up or any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can give me

I'll need to look into that. Off the top of my head, I'm thinking that you could Odin a Siyah kernel.tar onto the device, reboot to the Siyah cwm recovery, adb & flash the TWRP kernel onto it, then reboot to recovery again and restore the backup.

Yes, just follow that instructions and you'll be fine.

I thought this bug had been fixed, anyway, I don't have this problem on my i9100, that's probably related to the different mic location of the i777. Sadly without the phone I'm not the best to fix this.

CM recovery installs signed zips only.
i have android version 2.3 in my samsung-sgh-i777 can i follow those instructions to get cyanogenmod12.1

I used the pit from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55967538&postcount=3829 to expand the system and data and installed the cm12.1 successfully.
Thanks.

The pit from http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...de-partition-i777-phone-data-storage-t2839161 made the phone stuck at boot animation. With this pit, I could not flash back to original Samsung UCMD8 (odin failed at hidden.img), but cm11 ran smoother with bigger system and data. This is probably related to the 45 MB preload partition.

Anyone else having problems with cm-12.1-20150727-NIGHTLY-i777.zip?

I installed CM 12.1 20150724 nightly and it works but when I go for the 7/27 nightly, it flashes but it does the following to my phone

1. Gets stuck at Samung Galaxy SII
2.phone proccess ends and starts every two seconds
3. Never makes it pass the pulsing Cid boot animation

I also need to know if it is worth it up dating to the lastest nightly now, before I did nightlies with OmniROM from 4.4.1 to 4.4.4 but with CM 12.1 is it worth it?

EDIT: New issue, the WI-FI page says in the middle "turning on WIFI..." on soft reboot, reboot, I might download a nightly before 7/27 before it, unless there is a kernel I can flash to restore WIFI

Modified pit: 1GB system partition, 4GB data
Pure cm12.1: official cm12.1 7/27 nightly, no other kernal.
Of course, I have tk-gapps.
And your on i777 or S959G? I have the S959G, but which modded pit file is best for my phone the S959G pit or the I777 pit for more more app storage, I downloaded both modded pit files but I'm unsure which one to use.

Sent from my poisoned Cyanide Lollipop S2 Phone

As I said in post #27 of this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62037606&postcount=27),
I used the pit from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=3829 which is for S959G on my i777 to get cm12.1. The one created for i777 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...orage-t2839161) did not work for me though I was able to use it for cm11 but not cm12.1.

---------- Post added at 02:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:32 PM ----------

During the try-and-error process, the flash count changed. So I got the yellow triangle and i9100G on my boot image. The triangle-away app did not solve the problem, probably due to the mod pit. I ordered a jig to see if it helps. However, it is just cosmetic.

Did you flash back to stock then CM 12.1 or what steps did you do for flashing the pit file?

I flashed i777 pit directly first but I could not go back to stock (failed at hidden.img). I could install cm11 but cm12.1 stuck at boot (cid image). Then, I flashed the S959G pit and installed cm12.1. Everything has been working. I didn't try going back to stock to remove the yellow triangle.

Oh, alright, I see flashing back to stock is just to remove the yellow triangle is all.

Edit: In TWRP v2.7.1.0, is it normal for the Internal SD card or /emmc to be broken after flashing the pit file in odin3 because i get this error in TWRP "E:Unable to mount '/emmc/'"

I did not use TWRP. I used CWM from http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/GalaxyS2ATT/recovery/CWM-KitKatCompatible-i777.tar (credit goes to http://galaxys2root.com/cwmtwrp-recovery/).
Could your problem be related to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61875030&postcount=24 ?
