Any chance you could post the removed apks, especially the mail/exchange services stuff? Thx
I'll see what I can do. It may be a few days though. The funny thing is I didn't remove exchange, or the email. They are still in there. I'll have to see if I can find out why they aren't showing up. I may have removed something that they need to work.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Jeboos kernel is for an i9100 based ROM which needs mic swap right? Where as this base doesn't need it. May account for the echo.

I can't really test that theory since moving to the s4 my sims a bit small for the s2.

Nice to see a ROM based of the att release, hope to see great things!

I don't think it's a kernel issue as I've had no problems on jeboos, or Ajs kernels. I may be wrong though, you never know. I've been running this for 3 days with a case on without issue. I think Samsung may have changed something in the noise suppression. I've seen complaints of echo on the stock kernel of this update with people that are using cases.

Somewhere, NJ
jeboo and AJK kernels are both international based kernels which would mean that the mics are swapped. Just use the stock ATT kernel and it should be ok. Not going to try this rom or kernel until a more definitive version comes out though.

Sure i'll make a no-swap kernel later tonight if possible. I will need to borrow a local phone first so I can be sure there are no soft bricks happening.

You'll need to also use the keyboard layout file (/system/usr/keylayout/sec_touchkey.kl) that is included with the kernel if you decide to use it in the ROM, or the keys will not function correctly.

Are you installing SHOstock3 first, then doing the restore?

Flash SHOstock3 first then restore your backup. Your CWM doesn't backup preload, so all of your apps are missing but your data was still backed up so you shouldn't lose anything.

Beat you to it trev869!

I had the same thing happen so I just flashed shostock in recovery, rebooted recovery, and then restored my nandroid to solve the missing preload issue.

no.... i did not try that. I will now.

EDIT: I ifgured out a way to deal with the mic problem so i think i will stick with it for a while. Use speakerphone in a call and turn the volume down then talk like normally do

AJK v2.0.5ns is working great here so far on this ROM.

Have rebooted many times and have also tested recovery to make sure it works. As a side note, it does *seem* to take a bit longer to enter recovery....or maybe it has just been a while for me on an SII and I forgot how long it takes. But - recovery does work fine.
You are the best Aj. I wish they would let me thank your posts more than once. I will try to get it all added into the ROM tonite to get an update uploaded for tomorrow.

My pleasure!

Please be sure that you also include the key layout file so that everything works properly.

Many thanks for providing this ROM for the community. It is running great on the borrowed phone that I installed it on. My neighbor should be very happy
