Same here. Since yesterday morning. Running it with ajk 2.0.5ns. No problems at all. Going to stick with it as a dd for a while. Getting great battery life too.

I would like to know if there is a way to get the word home off of the status bar in the notification area. Also, if there is a way to set it so that a notification does not turn the screen on.

Thanks so much for this Mr cook and AJ :)

Everything its running smoothly but... I'm having a problem when playing SG: Deadzone. I start the game everything its ok for a few minutes. Then the recents apps window open and close and then it kicks me out of the game to the home screen and if I open the game again it keep doing it... dont know if the ROM or the Kernel.

Use root explorer cut the .apk from preload, and paste it in system app, reboot. I believe the name is secEmail.

Secemail.apk is already in the system app folder. It just asks if you want to overwrite.

Wow.... Just read up on what deodexing and odexed means. Good luck with that. Sounds incredibly tedious.

How goes the deodexing?
Only one issue remaining that is holding back releasing it. The gallery is force closing, and it is an issue in the framework, but I don't know where or what the issue is yet.
I read it has to do with the smali/ baksmali but the framework fails with every version except 1.3.2. Maybe someone with some experience can jump in here with some advice.

@mr-cook, you could just pull some of the system/apps from SHOstock3, or, some other 4.1.2 port for the s2 (you could even try the i9100 forum).
I have all the apps finished, it's the framework "jar " files causing minor issues.

I'm not here to take others work. This is about learning how to do these things for myself.

+1 on admiring that. You got all my respect!

I've noticed no notable difference in battery life with this rom as opposed to Shostock3. I watch my bbs stats and nothing looks different. I will say though that I've had Google maps NOT greenified with this rom and it has not been waking my phone up. Not sure that that has to do with the rom but it is nice.

Thanks for a Great Rom Choice!

Thank you for this rom! :good::good:
I have been on Shostock3 for ages, but for the past couple of weeks was in CyanogenMod 10.1 nightlies (which are really nice now btw). Still, I had to try this rom out and it is excellent!

I added back email from a TIBU backup and it works well -but I am getting the occasional error stating can't connect to MS Exchange (or something like that ;) Still emails in and out are both working
--I just read your recommended fix, Mr. Cook, and will try that in the morning.

Battery life is better than CM10.1, but I can't tell yet whether it is better than SS3 --need a bit more time on it. Anyway, I can tell battery life is good -regardless!

It is really weird seeing an ATT logo on boot up. . . that kind of scares me :)
Also, on bootup, I get the Samsung logo, then a small spinning circle which freezes, then I get AKJ's rom screen and then the rom starts.

I always felt 4.1.2 has a good feel on this phone and this is no different. The TW is ok, and I seem to be using it more than my old favorite Nova pro.

Not one problem with cameras, or file access, or USB access, or working any apps (aside from the email weirdness). G-R-E-A-T

Thanks Mr. Cook for a nice addition to our choices for great SGH-i777 roms!
I can't wait to see how this can be tweaked to be even better!

Here's a temporary fix for the email app- SecEmail.apk - 13.12 MB
Use root explorer, and delete secEmail.apk and its odex file in both system app and preload, then add this in system app, and reboot.
