Hi, I'm in the same boat and have found exactly the same faults, it's the first time I've loaded a ROM in nearly 8 years.
Lineage is absolutely stunning and a triumph but it has the faults that you mention, Bluetooth doesn't work and there is something up with the memory with it freezing.
Is there an earlier version of lineage which works solidly on the GT-i9595? And also what your recommendation for the best ROM for this phone? I am really out of date with things.
In case you mean the GT-I9195, i can highly recommend arco's pie rom (LineageOS 16.0), especially if you're not so eager to experiment.
Everything is working .. for me. I use it as daily driver.

Installed and works fine except I can not seem to be able to delete files (there is no delete option). But the greatest downfall is that there is no way to install gapps. I tried multiple versions TWRP (2.6 3.1 3.2 3.3) but none of them are able to install gapps ARM 64 nano or pico. I was able to install ARM gapps version of both nano and pico version but ofc none of the apps work in the system after restart and just crash at start.
Looks like we need to wait for TWRP team to sort it out.

It works for me with opengapps arm pico and last official TWRP. Clean install of course

I used your builds for this device since 14.1, switched to another device for 3 years, and am very pleased to see a first build on Pie... seems like i could go back to the good old one
So far, almost everything seems to work fine.
Problems:

- No root (Neither Lineage su.zip exists nor magisk did work here)
Features I could not test yet:

New builds with February security patches available.
- Fixed wifi QR code scanner
- Magisk can now be installed
- Other fixes here and there
I'm aware that bluetooth playback with built-in music app is not good, and I
don't really know why. I tested a bit with VLC, and it seemed much better with that.

Arni thank you for updating Los-17 ! But there is an error: the USB connection to the computer Does not work.
If you mean transfer file through USB than it's working I tested both transfer file and USB tethering

Thank you for the build. Everything including file transfer and root after installing Magisk is working.
One small peculiarity: It takes roughly 30 seconds until the SD-card including there installed apps is recognized. But then everything is working fine.

Installed BiTGApps apps from the store are installed for a very, very long time...
must be Google play store and Play service were updating
I am using bitgapps and apps install time are fine
It's about the PackageInstaller app installer.apk (it takes a long time to install..
Clean install on I9195 for me not for production usage actually

I tried with 17.1 builds. Found different problems with it, so I go back to 16.0 build.
Sdcard not functioning as internal memory.
Chrome issues when starting.. mostly system crashes and do restart the device
Some other stuff missing in 17.1 build. I’m sure it takes time to integrate.
Arco68 is doing a very good job here and he has no full appreciation for the work of assembling a useful and contemporary Rome for this now very old machine
Unfortunately I only have one device available, which I use product iv... so I don't wait a few weeks or months until I try again to upgrade to 17.1 build.
Until then I will continue reading here and look forward to your results. And take off my hat
