[ROM][I9190/I9192/I9195/L520/R890][Unofficial][10.0.0] LineageOS 17.1 for S4 Mini

On my GT-I9192 I do have massive problems with this custom rom and most of my installed apps are freezing and the unit is very slow.
1. Flashed the firmware (I've had LineageOS 16 installed)
2. Clean flashed via TWRP 3.2.3-0 the 17.1 custom rom incl. Gapp Pico. Flashed Magisk. It's working but problems as above
3. Repeated 1. & 2. and no improvement
4. Flashed the firmware again
5. Flashed the 16.0 custom rom incl. MindTheGapps with TWRP 3.3.1-0. Flashed Magisk and same installed apps are working normally

arco68, in the meantime I think I will stick with your 16 version

I have on i9195 the same on the LOS 17th after two, three days of use, freezes begin, it seems that the RAM is clogging. LOS 16th everything is fine, only increased battery consumption (maybe I only)

Hi guys, I'm using this Android 10 Build on my s4 mini I9195 and I am very impressed so far, my love and thanks go out to @arco68 :good:
but there is two bugs I noticed in this ROM:

1. I am somehow not able to download apk from my browser, the download always fails, eventhough I turned on apps from unknown sources
in the developer settings

2. No music is recognized by the standard music player or VLC, eventhough I gave the permission to access my files, music only plays when I go through the files app,
for then to tap every track individually and open with VLC, thats the only way to listen to music, the vlc app does not save the recognition, so when I switch back to the VLC app,
there is not a single track to find in the library, I only can listen to tracks one by one by opening it seperately with VLC, which does not create a playlist

Can someone help me with these bugs?

Late sms notification

Backup/Restore with TWRP is working fine thanks fix_rootfs_label.zip. Gps also fine.

Same problem as in LOS 16 with late notifications of sms. But the workaround described in [ROM][I9190/I9192/I9195/L520/R890][Unofficial][9.0.0] LineageOS 16.0 for S4 Mini, post #1127 (adb shell dumpsys deviceidle whitelist +com.android.messaging) works also in 17.

Also if screen is pinned, I cannot unpin holding Back and Home-button (and with no other button combination; have to restart the phone).

Due to google restricts access to external storage, some apps like filemanager are not working as expected. But this is not a problem of LineageOS.

In LOS 16 it is possible to prohibid internet access for specific apps via
Settings / Apps & Notifications / Apps Info / Data Usage
where you can enable or disable WiFi-data and Mobile data.

In LOS 17 I cannot find these settings anymore. I can only disable Background data. Does this mean that there is no more possibility to cut apps from the internet? If so, what are the benefits of LOS 17 compared with 16 which justify this loss of privacy?

Install Lienage OS17.1 last night on my S4Mini and everything perfect but GOOGLE CHROME when you open it instantly the screen goes blank and does not let me do anything I have to take out the battery to be able to continue using it,in FACEBOOK LITE a bar appears in part below as if there were the on-screen navigation buttons which is very annoying and finally the EXTENDED DESKTOP mode does not work directly does not open. You can have those details fixed in future update

I notice that when I play voice messages from WhatsApp as soon as the screen goes to sleep the audio starts to lag and stutter. It also does it when I put the phone to my ear because the screen goes to sleep as soon as it senses it is by my ear. It does that on LOS 16 as well. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Hello Arco ! I understand that the core doesn't support SWAP. Could you turn this on ?
You can increase the size of ZRAM , now it is by default 60

You will need gapps in order to use PlayStore. You will need to complete Setup Wizzard to use your phone on PlayStore. So, go thru Setup Wizzard but do not sign into your Google Account until after you have configured everything you don't want Google to mess with. For example, turn off Contacts sync, Calendar sync, Location (even Emergency location, if you want), etc. Also, after signing in to Google Account, turn off things like Automatic app updates and Play Protect if you wish.

Looks like that last build 17.1-20200416 doesn't work properly with i9192. Simcard is not visible in sim1 or sim2 slots.
Is there any chance to fix this base functionality ?
