Expect a new version shortly with the below (currently under testing). Been very busy with real life and not having much time lately.
Great news! I've gone round the houses to try out stock-stock and CM as daily ROMs and they're driving me mad so I'm coming back to this one :) Happy to test it out whenever you have the time to release.

Almost done.... Testing is taking too long with lollipop and with my busy schedule these days, also did a revamp of the addons. Maybe when I have time today or tomorrow I will upload em... changelog will be updated later.

Hi Jasonrr,
you have been suggesting to flash pure DOB4 firmware as base for installing lollipop Super WizCyan. Could you give link to the ROM witch is base for your ROM? there are plenty DOB4 files now. It will be best if you could upload your base. I mostly use http:// samsung - updates . com as source for new base rom. But they use realy slow download services (about 6h) per rom.
thanks!

ROM works well with NE5 firmware as well, as I have been on that firmware for several weeks before flashing the OB4 firmware.

You can get the link to the skimmed firmware (without modems and system) on my drive. Link to my drive is available in post #1 under download link.

New ROM version 03

New Rom version 03 uploaded..... Aroma add-on package currently being uploaded...
Updated kernel included in ROM, Pre-rooted with SuperSU 2.49 beta (no need to install binary anymore) seems faster and clean install recommended.
Change log will be updated at leisure.

Soooo... I'm not doing too badly on v3... not withstanding the deficiencies in the firmware and modem which all up to Samsung to sort but are driving me crazy.

One thing I have noticed that v3 is doing... and it also happened when I was running v2 but I thought it was because I'd fluffed a setting somewhere. It seems to be doing some kind of ad blocking. Normally that wouldn't be an issue but part of my job is to help set and check ad server configs for my company's mobile app and unfortunately I'm getting lots of blank frames :( Are there any settings or modules in WizCyan which might be preventing ads from showing?

Yes, this is in the /system/etc/hosts file, you could either rename the attached file as hosts (without the .txt extension) and replace it with the existing one or you could delete the entries that you would like to unblock.

What is the exact nature of issue that you have with the firmware and modem? did you try the OC3 modems with the OC3 kernel as well?

Of course... simple, thanks :)

Yeah I tried OC3 model and kernel on an earlier attempt... was no better I'm afraid. This time I've tried NE5 firmware with OB4 modem - no different either.

In short, the issue I encounter on stock-based lollipop roms (including Samsung's own stock) is what I can only explain as a reduction in radio signal strength, across all of mobile radio, Wifi and Bluetooth. This manifests itself as:
- Lower mobile signal strength available at and away from home including no service within certain London stations where on CM12 and earlier roms I can get 2-3 bars of 3G with perfect data service
- Lower wifi signal in the upper floor of my home - wifi data pauses for 10+ seconds at a time
- Bluetooth signal dropping to the point of Bluetooth music streaming to my wireless headphones goes through stages of stuttering every few minutes while I walk with my phone is in my pocket
- Bluetooth signal severely affected by (what I assume is) general radio interference - the Bluetooth stream skipping becomes constant when I pass through exactly the same points in my daily commute to work - one spot on the concourse of a London railway station, another outdoors at a certain road intersection near my office

Conversely, while the above issues aren't encountered on a CM12.x rom, I suffer the well-known terminal Bluetooth issue while running CM - while I can now hold open a Bluetooth music stream for a couple of hours, Bluetooth itself stops at random points and requires a reboot to restart it. Also, there's a general music issue while listening via wired (i.e. non-bluetooth) headphones, where music stutters during device locking or when the devices makes heavy use of data.

Personally I get slightly better signal with OC3 modems, I am not sure about others.

From what I understood based on your description of the issue, I can summarize as below
- The issue with signal being lost is generally caused due to weak LTE/4G signal. By default the system checks every 7 seconds and if set to LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) with the order being LTE then WCDMA and GSM. It is also worth noting that while switching between LTE & 3G (WCDMA) there is a loss of signal for sometime and this could persist with weak LTE signal (rather than no LTE signal). You could try changing to WCDMA/GSM (auto connect).
- Data pauses over wifi are something strange, though there are issues reported of data pauses over 3G network due to Fast Dormancy not supported by phone network provider. Read more about it here (if required suggest to try the build.prop edit first)

The firmware or modems should not make a difference to radio signals between CM and stock ROM's, the only difference can be the kernel or the ROM. You could try the test kernel by walter79 a few pages back and check out the issue. (kernel has issues with secured lock screen and suggest to disable it before flashing).

Viper does not seem to be working for me. It would randomly ask me to install and reboot, but the driver details always show "abnormal".
I noticed there is a newer driver on the website though.

Sent from my GT-I9295 using XDA Free mobile app
Finally got viper4android to work, just rename the attached file to 50viper.sh and put the renamed file in /system/etc/init.d folder and restart (permissions will be set automatically on reboot and you can install viper4android from previous addon version)

Just tested this, at least the app works. Thank you very much! But still one problem: Viper4Android doesn't process any enhancing on my audio yet... I am currently using V3 of your ROM. I downloaded the latest official Viper4Android from their website, placed the .sh file into the folder and rebooted... Attached a screenshot with the problem
