INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Backup
2. Recommended Recovery: PhilZ Touch
3. You need to do a clean install!!! Wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, Wipe data/factory reset and Wipe System (In Philz recovery use the Following Options: Wipe Data/ Factory Reset/ Clean to Install a New Rom) and then Install Zip (from either external or internal SD depending on where you chose to save the Rom)
4. The installation process takes between 3-5 minutes. Let it do its job
Also the 1st boot also takes 3-5 minutes. I would also recommend that before the initial setup, you dont do anything to your phone for 5 minutes... Let it settle and then proceed with the initial setup... That's just my usual ritual with any Rom I flash
Note: Even if you are coming from a previous version of Echoe Rom, it is still STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you do a full wipe before flashing!!
5. Reboot and Enjoy

About the ROM
Welcome to the ULTRA_SLIM version of the wonderful Echoe ROM.
Approx. 530mb is what you get with this ROM, so you should know it´s a absolute "stripped down" ROM where still everything works as flawless as you would expect from the Echoe ROM Team. We deleted lot´s of stuff that is "unnecessary" in our eyes, because we use other apps then the Stock ones instead. See post 2 for a list of removed apps. But not only "apk´s" where deleted , also several other stuff was kicked out, for example we left only 1 ringtone and 2 notification tones, so be aware of that!
This ROM is NOT recommended if you are new to flashing custom ROMs, as you might need to do some further adjustments to the ROM before or after flashing to get certain things the way you are used to with other custom ROMs!
I am missing an app, how do i get it?
WE WON´T PROVIDE A SEPERATE DELETED STUFF ZIP FILE ANYMORE, JUST DOWNLOAD THE FULL VERSION OF ECHOE ROM AND TAKE THINGS YOU NEED FROM THERE!
Open the zip file of the Full version with 7zip/WinRAR etc. and navigate to "system/app".
Look up the app you are missing, copy it and move it to "system/app" in the ULTRA_SLIM ROM before flashing.
If you already flashed the ROM you can still add it by moving it to "system/app" with any Root Explorer and set permissions to"rw-r--r--"
Reboot and it should work.
I moved a specific app to system/app but it still won´t work, what can i do?
In the ULTRA_SLIM version of Echoe ROM we deleted A LOT of stuff, so there might be something else missing to get the app running properly.
Just ask in this tread and we (hopefully) can tell you which file is needed as well.
How do i get my "usual ringtone/notification sound" back?
Download the "Full" version of Echoe ROM as it contains everything we deleted.
Open the zip file with 7zip/WinRAR etc. and navigate to "system/media/audio".
There are 2 folders "ringtones" and "notifications".
Copy the whole folder or just the ringtone/notification sound you want and move it to the very same place in the ULTRA_SLIM ROM zip file before you flash the ROM.
If you have already flashed the ULTRA_SLIM ROM there should be a folder "ringtones“ and "notifications“ on your internal sd card.
Put the sound file in there and it will show up as selectable sound for ringtones/notifications.
Callrecording isn´t working, my phone freezes and only a reboot helps:
It´s due to the "Volume boost mod" we implemented. If you want working Callrecording you need to flash this fix but Volume will be back to "normal" S4 volume:
