Sorry could not wait. :D

Waiting for your next release. You realise you're the first aosp based custom kernel dev on XDA ? I've been waiting for you for ages. ;)

Finally a dev to make a monster kernel for our Note :D

This is going to be a masterpiece of a rom and a kernel :D

Has anyone made a CWM backup with this yet? I'm using the kernel and it can't get through the data partition. It just reboots itself at about 75%. It could be a troublesome file or app, but I'd like to know if anyone else has seen this.

Update: I flashed the 7/10/2012 CM9 kernel, and was able to complete a CWM Backup. Using AniKernel, it had failed to both internal and external storage on multiple attempts. If there's any logs or information I can provide, let me know and I will try to reproduce the effect.

I have just done a backup of Asylum on Ani kernel, and all went through fine.

Sorry.. separated ZIP with AniDroid-Kernel-N7000 will be some time later...
I had extracted the new kernel and flashed it on Asylum. It has fewer governers (I must've done something wrong whilst extracting?), but on smartass2 it is even faster and smoother than the previous one.

After running the v0.2 kernel for half a day I must say that I am very impressed. It is very easy on the battery and even heats it up much less than any other CM9 kernel I have tried to date. Kudos for the great work, Novic.:)

Oh, wow, please share if you can.

Bah, burned through all of my thanks already, guys.

New kernel version fixed the backup issue. Thanks guys. I'll give you real thanks tomorrow when I have 8 again.

Well I am going to give it a shot even if the Overclock is not done yet. I just cant wait to see if this one does not have the lag issue with MAME Reloaded. So far only one kernel does not has it which is Franco R5 (all his other versions have it too). So this is like my last hope :D

Hi Chas, after using the 2 kernels, what do you think about kernel v3 compared to v2?

Novic or chas or anyone else could you please provide an explanation on the new set of governors on this kernel. I know the usual and how they work i.e, smartass2, lulzactive, ondemand, performance, etc... but looking for an explanation on the other ones that are there part of this kernel..

this may help
CPU Governors and I/O Schedulers

--------------------------------------------------------

I report a bug (if I not mistaken).... When I again switched .. Ondemand Governors to SmartassV2 Governors ... my phone is reset non stop ... I had to re-install the rom with 3 wipe.
