Got MS6 on my GF's fascinate and today it shut down due to what I think was a dead battery and now it just boots up to the devil recovery menu. Tried a battery pull and it still only boots to recovery. How do I fix this?

Check out notta's 3 finger boot loop breaker thread. I would just try to wipe cache & dalvik, reflash ms6. See what happens.

Tried wiping cache and dalvik, no go. Tried reflashing ms6, no go. Did a full wipe/reset, reflashed build2, reflashed ms6, rflashed gapps, no go. Just keeps rebooting to recovery and she swears she didn't 3-button it.
I'll try to find that thread and see if that helps. Thanks.
ETA: That fix worked. If this problem or any other problem occurs I'll probably put her back to stock until I find something else to get her set up on. I'm thinking a different kernel might be enough but I don't know which ones are stable with AOKP MS6...

Sometimes it just happens, devil 1.1.3 was what I used for my daily driver for the longest time. I had a hard time switching to jb account of stability issues. Also if you get it up and running how she wants it, do a nandroid that way if u have an issue you can reflash ms6 & the then restore the nandroid. I like to use the smsbackup app also then she won't lose any of those. Good luck

Anyone having issues with texting on MS6? When my GF is texting someone whatever she types doesn't show up in the text box but the keyboard's autocorrect bar does acknowledge that something is being typed. She has to back out and re-enter the message once or twice to get it to work properly.
Not really sure how to fix this since it seems to be a stock app problem rather than an issue with the KB.

I like to call that ghost keys lol when I was on ICS I would just turn the screen off and on its should work but will never stop I haven't had that issue on jelly bean

Hey guys.
Don't kill me but my girlfriend has a fassy and I can't seem to get the SMS to work. Did all of the motions of installing but it won't take. Tried redownloading, trying most up to date devil kernel, odin'ing and reinstalling. Calls work great but the SMS and mms don't work. Tried beautiful txt app to see if I could use a different app.
Any ideas?

lockscreen wallpaper
I've Googled for more than an hour and have resisted posting this question, but I believe I have no other recourse now.
This rom has the ability to change the locksreen wallpaper independent of the homescreen wallpaper. However, when I set a separate lockscreen wallpaper the image is altered in some way so that the picture is not perfectly crisp. Also, the cropping of an image does not translate to what ends up on the lockscreen. If I set the same image as my homescreen wallpaper and choose to reset the custom lockscreen wallpaper, the image looks perfect, exactly as it should.
The compression, or whatever, that takes place when going through the lockscreen chooser is not obvious, and I imagine with some images no one could even tell.
The bottom line is this, does anyone know if Android creates a cropped version of the lockscreen image we choose and places it somewhere in the phone's internal memory? If so, where might that be? I feel like the lockscreen changing tool is the problem, compressing or altering when it doesn't need to. I feel like if I can find the file it creates, I can study its dimensions/properties and push my own image file over top of it.

80Do to the total disregard for the flashing instructions and some individuals trying to find answers without attempting to find it themselves first. I have come up with a list of things I except to see before I will even acknowledge a question from here on out.
If you have a Question try these first.
1) You must me on the most recent Devil up build. Questions about AOKP Official builds or older Glitched builds should be referred to the most recent Devil up build first. Verify you are on the right ROM having people complain about having a mesmerize on the Verizon network or not getting data/mms because they flashed a Fascinate ROM is ridiculous. If you don't even know what device your on you shouldn't be flashing custom ROMs.
2) You should try a redownload of the ROM and Gapps, a wipe of data, dalvik, and cache, a flash and a test of the problem before restoring apps or data. That includes the back this phone up option in the gaps installer. Don't check it that until you test your issue.
3) If you problem is with a single app delete it and redownload it from Google play.
4) Read the OP and the last 10 pages of the thread completely, if your answer is there your question will be ignored. It will take you just as long to read those pages as it will for me to find it and copy it or re type it.
5) Believe me when I say I take a lot of pride in this ROM. We use this ROM everyday. We test every feature before it's released. If you say you are having an issue and we tell you it's not the ROM…. It's you if you try and argue that your posts will be ignored.

Both kernels are interchangable so find which rom/kernel combo works for you and sit tight while we wait/work on Jelly Bean.36We had a meeting last night. Ok so here is the plan. Milestone6 will be aokp's last ics build. We start on jelly bean after the source drops. Milestone6 will come with 2 options the official non linaro build for those with issues, and I will put out a linaro build for those who want it. I will include the latest devil kernel, and from here until jelly bean look too the devil for kernel updates. He had assured me he will be making devil kernels for jb. No etas, we are waiting for the source drop.
