Hi,

do we need to wipe data from CM9 ?

What I loved about AOKP vs CM9 was the lockscreen options to display calendar and weather but it seems that it's been merged in CM9 now so what are the + ?

thanks !
You shouldn't need to wipe data, I didn't when I flashed tests. But if things don't work, wipe before posting bug reports.

Over here
So Far, So Good

who installed this.please give a feedback
I've installed it and it's running very smoothly so far.

Edit: Using Nova launcher, I've restored all my titanium backup apps, rebooted, opened maps, made phone calls, text messages, emails, changed wallpapers, listened to music - all working well.

Thanks for your work Six Strings!

Can you check if the HW acceleration is working in MKV files ?

For those of you that know how to build, everything is now up on gerrit that is needed. You will need the following things:
From CM:
hardware_samsung branch cm-9.0.0, not ICS
device_samsung_n7000: you'll need to remove 353f0e3dc96b792bcc2fe0d58dfddb95622c7d41 and delete overlay/packages/apps/Settings/res/values/config.xml
kernel_samsung_smdk4210

From AOKP gerrit:
vendor_samsung
vendor_aokp
frameworks_base (yes, all nine of them)

Hi wonderful to have Kang here :)) coming from Stunner 1.4.19 and CWM v5.0.2.7

I was a little confused regarding your flash instructions warning

WARNING: If you are on a leaked ICS kernel, DO NOT FLASH THIS. Flash a known safe kernel from the sticky in the development section, then flash this.

Can you be more specific on which are the known safe kernels maybe an example would be great.

Thanks for all the work SixStringG

I'm still on 2.3.6 rom, with cwm 5.0.2.7
Is cwm 5.0.2.7 ok to flash this rom ?

Then, after, is a downgrade possible to 2.3.6 (your rom won't modify cwm ?) ?
That CWM is fine. All ROM's modify CWM, but on the Note, all CWM's are compatible with each other. You can't change your kernel without changing CWM's, as recovery is built into the kernel.

Did either of you read the sticky in the development section that I specifically said to look at?

Don't want to spam your thread but it's pretty difficult to read and search the stickies using tapatalk.
Which is why I thought you could provide a little more information in the OP.
Saves more people having to ask the same Q over and over again.

good to have another great ROM ported to the note ,thanks a lot.

so this means official AOKP for the note?

also one more request: could you give the md5sum of the file? I had a soft brick not two days ago because of a corrupted download ,and the download isn't reading the total size of the file and it's progressing blindly and that doesn't bring confidence in me.

thank you.

You can also look on androtransfer.com, under sixstringsg/n7000, it has the filesize. For some reason the md5 there is wrong, as the one above I just pulled from the server.
