Guys,

At this date, for those who are using Milestone 6 and an updated kernel (to solve those FC and reboot issues), could say if finally the capacitive buttons lights can be totally disabled?

I'm still using 40.1 due to the fact that when using Milestone 6 and changing kernel brings capacitive buttons lights turned on even when disabled inside options! I even disabled the buttons itself using CWM Zip file, but those lights were still turning on when touched. Is this "issue" solved or not yet?

I'm between flashing AOKP Milestone 6 or CM10 Preview 4 later.

I am coming from a rooted stock ROM (4.04 LR6) and Notecore kernel v14.2.

Q1. My current configuration is safe to flash AOKP?
Q2. Should I Flash b40 first or I can directly flash milestone6?

Please someone answer asap since I have downloaded the roms and ready to flash, bit tensed since it is my first custom rom attempt.

As long as your kernel is notecore then you're all good to flash aokp. You can flash either b40 or milestone. The choice is yours. Just make sure to use a different kernel for milestone as it has some issues.

Thanks 'whatsaqazza'.
I started reading the entire thread from past 2 hours while downloading. I am somewhere around 115page. Some in is still suggesting, if you are on ICS, downgrade to GB. Hope this is not required?

It's all about the kernel and nothing about the Rom. You are on a safe kernel, in fact the safest TW one there is.

Just do your wipes and flash AOKP and Gapps.

Ahh! ..Finally on a custom rom {Milestone 6].
Does anyone has difficulty connecting to corporate (exchange) accounts.
My MDM (Mobile Device Management) gets connected, but when trying to set corporate email accounts its saying, You dont have permissions to sync with this server.

Did you manually input the servers information? If not you may want to do that just in case it got something wrong. Other than that I don't remember anyone having a problem like that.

Unfortunately since my device doesnt connect to corporate account, I have to revert back to stock rom.

Can someone tell me the safest way back to stock ics.

Can I just put it in download mode and flash using Odin or directly through mobodin.

Or does it requires some preperation.

You were using notecore, did you make a backup up in cwm?

Thanks. I tried multiple times.
Earlier in stock, when it is about connect, it used to pop message to install security settings. Nothing of that sort happening now and coming out with same error.
Another thing I noticed was that my mdm agent used to display the device name and id, now it shows 0.0.0.0. This may be the problem.

Well, when you try to set the servers settings there is an option for security, but if that all doesn't work or you prefer stock you can just go into cwm and restore your back up and it'll be like you never left stock. Just make sure to clear caches beforehand.

Corporate mail issue

@sixstringsg
I had an one night stand with your rom and want to commit a long term ....
Alas the primary purpose of my device apart from all these mods and themes is "Corporate mails".
Not sure why, my corporate exchange server is not allowing my device to connect while in AOKP Rom.
I went back to stock and it connected again.

This is how security setting appear in stock. I know this may not be priority, but if we have to use this ROM on a corporate smart phone, very much essential. Please let me know if anythinng can be done.
