edit: i've just searched some notice about this problem on internet, discovering that it's a yahoo's problem.
maybe maclaw didn't know this, 'cause the only possible solution is that the ROM's dev try to fix this thing.

It was fixed cm9 final 2.1 but again same problem in v3 !!!

mAybe he used older source wich doesnt has the updated Yahoo API

i had it to on my csm rom wheni compiled and later a new commit came for fix yahoo api

there is folder init.d in system/etc

Only there is a folder but when you flash scripts it bootloops !! Try it
